Taehyung entered Haeun's room and saw her fragile body sitting on the corners of her room. "Haeun? What's wrong?." He asked
"I might have overreacted." She sadly smiled "I'm sorry for causing an unnecessary drama." Taehyung comforted her "It's fine, there must be a reason to it. Right?." She nodded
"I trust you... so I'll tell you." She mentally prepared herself.
"Back in Highschool me and jin were... in my point of view we were friends. He was someone i admired from afar and it surprised me when he unknowingly decided to make friends with me."
"At first, i thought it was just a joke until he started to ask me to go with him during lunch. I enjoyed spending time with him really.... but the longer i stayed the closer i got to knowing about his purpose on being friends with me."
Taehyung saw her eyes grow dull every second.
"Eventually, i saw his true nature. He used me, after letting everyone know that the person they all look up too is an angel for befriending the lonely kid in his class he ignored me. It was as if he... used me to gain more popularity. But i mean who cares, i hate people that pity me." She let out a shaky breath as she met Taehyung's soft gaze.
"The reason why i caused a scene was when he said he could've 'cleared his schedule' something triggered my past and all those memories of me and him being together flashed before my eyes and.. i didn't want to break down infront of him. Cleared his schedule... he probably just said that to make himself look good infront of you and Jimin."
"Also stop looking at me as if you care."
"Well, sucks to be you because i care. I know we've only met in kindergarten and I'm not that close with you but from now on, I, Kim Taehyung will be Haeun's Friend--- No, Best Friend. I'm hoping that i can get to know you better as my friend and as an angel." His smile made Haeun's stomach burst and do flips.
"Your Smile is Contagious--- Wait, No, What i meant was I'm Haeun and I'd gladly give you a chance at being my best friend. Also isn't this a bit too fast? I'm still not fully recovered about the whole thing with Jin and now your suddenly asking to be my friend and accepting that was one of the reasons of me crying here?." Taehyung gently gave her a pat on the head.
"Well I'm not Jin so who knows what to expect from the handsome and cute Kim Taehyung." He closed his eyes and smirked being all confident and stuff.
"Can't disagree with that." She then stood up and went to her desk rummaging through her notes.
"I'd like to explain another reason as to why i didn't want to meet him." She motioned for Taehyung to come closer to her. Taehyung followed and she showed him the piece of paper she was holding.
"See this?" She pointed at the numbers written on the paper.
"00/09/36/252, 0 years 9 months 36 weeks 252 days.. When i first got here i had a whole year, then i met You, Jimin and Jungkook which reduced it by 12 weeks and meeting Jin reduced 4. Everytime i meet a person close to the past Haeun, it's reduced by 4 weeks and if i meet more i definitely won't be able to last long here on earth." Disagreement was etched on Taehyung's face as he couldn't believe what the girl was saying.
"I thought you had an unlimited time and the only time you can leave in when you finish your mission!." he held both her hands as he was on the verge of crying.
"Tragic. I just met up with my first love and now she's planning on leaving again."
"What did you say? I didn't hear you i'm sorry I was too caught up in my own thoughts." Haeun did hear him but she didn't want to make things even more complicated than it already is. Plus, he's meeting up with his date tomorrow so she couldn't really do anything for him.
"ah... Nothing really, though I'll miss you when your gone."
"Don't worry, you won't. I mean I'll be erasing your memories and make it seem like you were the one who got the idea of finding a date through a dating app." She laughed it off and repeatedly smacked his back.
"I don't like the idea of leaving too, but... it's just impossible. If there is a way then.. i won't really recommend that, i would be overstepping my boundaries as a dead person and as an angel." An idea struck Taehyung.
Angels being real is more than enough to prove that the impossible can become possible. Will there be a way to stop her departure?, I'd have to figure this out myself.
"Ah, we left Jimin and Jin alone and... THE FOOD." She rushed to the kitchen, scared if a fire started downstairs.
Taehyung was tailing behind her.
She thought she'd be welcomed with burnt food but instead she saw something far more delicious than her own cookings.
"10/10 plating" she silently rated.
"What's with the sudden outburst? You should be glad i could cook or you'd end up eating something close to charcoal." Jin scolded as Haeun let out a sigh.
"I'm sor--" she was cut off
"No, I'm sorry. For everything that happened back then, though it isn't really my fault." Taehyung was about to throw hands but he kept his posture and decided to wait for his explanation.
"I don't really have anything to hide so i don't care if you two listen." Taehyung and Jimin rolled their eyes.
"Keep rolling it, hopefully you find something back there."
