Betty was a 22 year old girl who had a perfect permanent record, a college degree from Harvard, and great life. She was setting on her soft bed looking around at her old empty bedroom. Betty was moving to LA were she got a job as a Office Assistant in a huge business. She knew that was a dumb job to go all the way to LA for but she has to start somewhere right? Her mom came in her room with a look of sorrow in her eyes,"Did you really have to take that job in LA." Alice said with tears pricking her eyes. Betty jumped up and ran to her mom and engulfed her in a hug," mom this is a fresh start for me and, I promise to come and visit on holiday's if I can."
"I'm just going to miss you so much." Alice cried
"I know and I well miss you too. I well call and text you all the time I promise ok."
"Ok" Betty then pulled away from the hug. "Now I have to get going mom" Alice nodded
"I will walk you to the car." Betty and Alice walked out to Betty's car and gave each other one last hug and kiss. Alice walked off to the side walk and watched her baby girl pull off to her new life. When Betty was driving she pasted by all the things she knew she'd miss the park, riverdale high, and pops. As she pasted pops she abruptly stopped her car backed up and went it to pops after parking. Everything felt like it was in slow motion opening the door and hearing the oh so fermealer bell ring," Betty I thought you were living for LA?" Pop said surprised to see her. "I couldn't leave with out grabbing some of your delicious food now could I." She said with a chuckle,"I guess not, what would you like."
"Two chess burgers, 20 onion rings, a side of fries, and a vanilla milkshake."
"Wow that is a lot for Betty cooper."
"I know but I wont to remember the taste and this place, and most importantly you pop."
"I well miss you so much Betty you are one of my best and favorite costumes in this town,now let me go get your order," Betty smiled as she watched the kind elderly man walk away to the back of the restaurant.
10 minutes later
Pop came out and gave Betty her order with a letter attached to it Ishe gave him a bright big smile, and hugged him with a thank you. She got in her car and pulled of away from the town she loved with all her heart; it has its good and its its bads but it is home to all that step in it.
Betty pulled up to new apartment after a 6 hour driver there, she hopped out the car and walked in. Betty took the elevator to the 3 floor were her room was. She opened the door to a a beautiful apartment. When you walked in on the left is kitchen with a island and a glass dining table by the wall were the door is;then on your right is a small living room with a wall of long windows. Then you walk down to a very sort hall with a bathroom on your right and a closet on you left and right in front of you is a bedroom. On the wall were the door s are is mirror sliding door closet there was a bed in the middle of the room with in tables on each side of the bed. Then going back to the hall and down right there was another bedroom and bathroom room. Betty ran back out to her car and started to get all her boxes.
When she was down in packing she went to the kitchen to see the bag of pops on the island. She grabbed it and put the leftovers in the fridge and threw away the empty containers and took the bag to her room and put it in her memories box. It was getting late and Betty's first day of work was tomorrow. She hopped in the shower and throw on her pjs and hopped in bed with a smile happy to start her brand new life.
