i get in our bed, completely exhausted. i flop onto it, bouncing a little. i feel george's weight next to me, and he instinctively wrapped his arm around me.

"i love you," he says, knowing he won't get a response. i haven't been practicing 'i love you' but i'm still gonna try.

"i lov-e you." my voice is drained, but i didn't do too bad. he pulls me closer to him, and nuzzles his head in my neck. i fall asleep knowing i said the L word for the first time.
