"Wow" I heard from behind me, spinning to see John B I smiled and did a spin

"Lookin good kiwi" he responded at my spin, followed by Kie whistling from behind him, soon she popped in the room in a cute dress I cat called her before running ( as fast as I could in heels) to hug her
As we got in the limo, we talked about how Sarah and John got the gold and cake back and split with us, which is how we could afford these outfits and this dinner
We arrived after finishing the bottle of champagne provided in the limo, we split the bill and payed the driver
I stepped out to see Pope standing in a tux along side JJ who was attempting to fix his
I laughed while Pope went to give Kie a kiss and complemented my outfit on his way past, I headed over to JJ and folded his collar down
He spun to eye me up and down, "damn kook, I knew you were hot but this is a new level" everyone laughed as I linked arms with him and we headed in
We ate and talked about what we've spent our money on so far
After paying we went to a small house party in the figure 8 side of town
We walked in and someone took my jacket and hung it up, I looked around to see everyone I recognized from before the full kook life, they all stared as our group walked in, seeing us with money was strange but we pulled it off
After talking to a few of my old friends I made my way to the balcony looking at the water
"I haven't surfed since the day they got back" "me either, I miss it" I replied to the blonde boy who was now beside me leaning on the railing
"you look good girl you know you did good don't you" he said as he caught me looking at my outfit
"I'm not used to looking this nice" I laughed, he shrugged and smiled "you always look good to me"
I blushed, JJ and I haven't flirted since we both moved to figure 8, our whole group got somewhat distant as we now had money to spend, making us busy "why didn't you come to this side" he asked
I looked at him "you know I want to build a house j, Im waiting for a nice piece of land to open before I spend my money, also what if I ever need it in an emergency" I stated he nodded
"Come live with me, get out of that dicks house" he blurted while looking at me, referring to my ex whom abused me, I looked away "I know y'all broke up and you shouldn't be trapped with someone like that" he continued
JJ has always hated my ex even before he found out how he was, it's not that I didn't want to get away, it just never occurred to me that I could, he still has a claim on me that i'm scared of, JJ doesn't need to know that
I looked at him " and be your roommate? the JJ Maybank wants to be my roommate" I fake fangirled he chuckled before taking a sip out of his glass "I'm serious kiwi"
I smiled at the nickname he gave me when we were younger " you sure you got extra room?" he nodded before tossing me a key he took out of his pocket, like he knew I would give in
I caught it and eyeballed the small key before tossing it back "I don't have pockets" I said simply
After rejoining the party I couldn't help the smile on my face as I thought about moving in with JJ
As I went home that night and unlocked the door to the small house I could hear the TV still on, I hung my coat, closed the door and turned it off before heading to my room
I stared at the muscular body that laid in front of me, I took my heels off and sat on the edge of the bed, it creaking as I did so, waking him up
He groaned "damn b*tch why you gotta be so loud" a bottle fell to the floor as he stood, towering over me
He ran his hand down my side "did you get all dressed up for me?" he asked, I didn't want a fight so I nodded "I just wanna look good for you" I said before standing
As I went to walk to change he grabbed my arm harshly "don't walk away when I'm talking to you" I mumbled a sorry while looking down, waiting for the hit
It never came, I opened my eye to see him looking at my phone, I reached to grab it but it was too late, he read JJ's message and was fuming
"you're leaving?!" he yelled "we're broken up anyways what's it matter? I'm done paying your bills!" I had never yelled back but I couldn't help it
As he raised his hand I winced before feeling the familiar pressure making my head fly to the side.
I told you, he still has a claim on me, that I'm scared of.
