Lazarus looked around him. Everything was dark, except for a single light. It was like a star, and the ground was like a calm lake, but he was walking on it. He heard a whisper, as he got closer to the light he saw that it was a single flame. Not a raging fire, just a small continuous flame, there was no wood or anything, it was just floating midair. As Lazarus looked closer the voice got stronger and spoke his name. Some were female voices, some were male voices.

Lazarus. A voice said.

Remember your past. Another voice said.

You will survive this. Just wake up. Another whisper said.

Get up. One more voice said.

He heard overlying voices until everything stopped. The fire disappeared. The voices and whispers stopped. He saw a light coming for him and when it came he found himself in a place he never saw before.

Lazarus looked around him. He was in a wooded area, he could tell it wasn't a day, the sun was replaced by a moon and he could see the stars. He looked and saw the man that threw the knife in him, he was just standing still. Then he heard a voice, a voice that he could not tell where it came from, it seemed that it came from everything. It was obviously the masked demon's voice but did not come from him.

"If you are hearing this Vigilante, then you have a strong will and might be worthy. If you survive this then The Devil would like an audience with you. You do not find him, he will find you. If you do not listen to him, then the very few people that you love might be able to persuade you to listen."

After the very last word, the vision broke apart and shattered like glass.

Lazarus woke up.
