The girl I had been talking to, I found out her name was Selena. Selena was an extremely funny, caring and what I also came to find out beautiful girl. Although this relationship she was in was awful. The girlfriend, Abby was controlling her in every which way possible. I couldn't stand to watch it go on from the things she had told me one day. Selena told me she was in tears as she was on the phone with her girlfriend. I finally told her she has to leave her. This girl Abby was relentless and refused to let Selena leave her. Abby even threatened this bright young girl. After two hours of talking her through it and reassuring her, I got Selena to leave Abby. From that day on, I began to become protective over Selena. Selena, a girl I had just started talking to a few weeks ago. Where was this going? I didn't know, all I knew was she needed a friend.
