I didn't mean it

Diana POV

Since the cafe was a few blocks away from the campus I decided to walk there. Well I was fast walking. When I arrived at the cafe, I looked through the window to check if she was there but none of the customers looked like her.

Did Sucy lied to me? No she won't do that.
Maybe She's just not here yet.
Damn I'm thirsty, might as well get a drink.

I walked in and went to the counter to make my order.

"What can I get you, my lady~"

Wait, that voice!
I looked up to see none other than Akko.
"Akko!"
"Hey,"
"What are you doing here?"
"Well I can ask you the same?"
"I just came looking for..."
"Looking for?,"

Diana POV
Shit I can't let her know I came looking for her.
"I was looking for a cafe," I lied.
"Okay...well you actually look like you've been searching for someone,"
I laughed it off so that it wasn't obvious.
"So you work here?" I asked.
"Yeah, part time. I actually like working here plus the payment is good and it helps me pay the rent,"
"Rent? You stay at the same block in campus as me right?"

Yeah, okay I did some digging and stalking and finally found out that she's been living at the same block as me this whole time and I didn't even know. Maybe it's because my room is on the fifth floor and her's is on the second.

"Yeah but I had to find a way to earn some money to cover up the rent and my magic courses,"
"I see," I was clearly envious of how hardworking she is and her determination but what is this feeling though. It's heavy.
Am I getting worried for her?
"Speaking of work, what will you be ordering?"
"Oh, umm I'll take an ice latte,"
"One ice latte coming up,"
I went to take a seat nearby the window and I also sat where I could see her of course.
Watching her work is mesmerizing. She's so serious when she's focused.
I wonder how she'll look in bed.
For fuck sakes Diana keep it together.

"Here's your ice latte,"
She bends to place the latte on my table and she was close enough for me to get a little of her fragrance.
Damn she smells like cherry blossoms.
She looked at me while I was in my wave of thoughts.
"Diana?"
"Yeah,"
"Are you okay?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Umm, yeah,"
Shit did she notice me blushing.
"Well you seem like you're lost in your thoughts," she sat down infront of me.

Alright I think this is the right moment.
Great, now is the prefect time for me to get to know her. I really want to know her.

"There is something I wanted to ask you,"
"Okay,"
"Ummm, why do you study magic?"
Her smiled turned to a frown.
Shit now you've done it..she's mad..
" Sorry if it's a sensitive question, you don't need to answer it,"
"No it's okay. It's just that no one has asked that before,"
"Oh okay,"
"When I was a kid I watched a magic performance by a famous magician, Chariot. Everyone loved her but I loved her magic. I've never seen anything like it and I always wanted to perform like that one day. So I practiced, even though I wasn't good at it. I still practiced and studied every single thing about magic that I can find. The more I studied, I started to realise that there's more to magic than just performance. So I decided to be the greatest magician and study everything there is about magic. Until I reach that dream, I ain't giving up,"
Akko ended with a big smile on her face. My heart was beating i didn't know why but the way her eyes lit up and the confidence she had.
"Wow, I didn't know that magic can do so much ,"
"What do you mean?"
"Like the day when you used your magic at the library to save me. If we didn't met that day I don't think we would be chatting like this right now,"
she blushed and I just smiled at her cuteness.

"There you are Diana, we've been looking everywhere for you,"
Oh no, not now.
Hannah and Barbara walked in. It was obvious that they were looking for me. Once they spotted Akko sitting infront of me....

H: Oh look it's the weirdo, what is she doing talking with you Diana?
B: Yeah, she better not use her stupid magic on Diana.
D: Guys, please stop.
Hannah and Barbara ignored what I said and went for Akko.
Akko got up and started walking towards the staff room.
H: Where you going weirdo? We're not done yet.
B: Yeah, did you think you can just walk off after bothering Diana.
D: Guys seriously stop, she didn't do anything.
Once again they ignored me.
Before I knew it Hannah took my ice latte and poured the drink on Akko.
Everyone at the cafe gasped and some of them were laughing.

H: Abracadabra, bitch
Hannah and Barbara started laughing.
Akko just ran to the staff room.
D: Why did you that to her!
H: What do you mean?
B: Yeah we did this for you and plus she deserved it.
I was so mad to the point I couldn't control myself.
D: Both of you are far less of a human being. Don't you dare talk to me ever again and don't think about messing with her because I swear I'll do the same with you both!

Hannah and Barbara we're clearly afraid of me but that didn't matter. What mattered to me now was Akko. I went into the staff room looking for her. She was wiping the ice latte of her clothes using tissues. I walked close to her.

D: Akko I'm so sorry, here let me help.
The instant I tried to help her she pushed my hand away.
D: Akko...... I'm really sorry.
Akko just kept quiet. I could tell she was pissed
D: Akko...
A: Congrats Diana, you just proved yourself that you're no different than them.
D: What! I had nothing to do with that.
A: Oh yeah, if you really had nothing to do with that then why are you friends with them.
D: It's not my fault they did that.
A: and you didn't even try to stop them.
D: I tried okay
A: well maybe you should've tried harder!
D: Well maybe you should just give up on these childish dreams!

Last thing i saw was Akko running out of the staff room and leaving the cafe.
I was even shocked at what I just said.
I didn't mean it, it just came out on its own.

What have I done.
