Off Limits, Love

My mother took a day off since today was the competition. I told my mom not to hire a makeup artist and a stylist anymore, kaya siya na ang nag-aayos sa akin. Kailangan kasi pagpasok naka sports attire and naka ayos na.

My sport was a racing flag girl, hindi ko rin sure kung bakit ito ang pinili ni Gaius, racer daw kasi siya. Okay na rin atleast flag lang gagamitin ko pangexecute ng sport? Sport ba 'to?

Sinuot ko na ang isang asymestrical checkered mini dress. It was long sleeved but it was short so, I had to put some black stockings and then I put my long high heeled boots. I was ready to 'get-set-go'.

I arrived at school, Agad naman akong sinalubong ni Elora at Talia.

"Hera! Ang ganda mo!" Pagpupuri ni Elora sa akin.

Pinakita naman bigla sa akin ni Talia ang banner niya may nakalagay 'Go Heraness, You're my highness!'

"Ang chaka ng muse namin, ikaw lang karapat dapat gawan ng ganitong banner!" Pagpaparinig ni Talia sa muse nila.

I just laughed at her, nakakatouch. I hugged both of them, I love them so much. Kinakabahan ako para mamaya, I didn't want to humilate my section and this was my first time!

I bid goodbye to them kasi papasok na ako sa classroom. Pumasok na ako at lahat ng kaklase ko ay manghang mangha sa akin. I looked at where Gaius is seated and there I saw him. He looked more handsome with that racer suit. My hawak pa siyang helmet, cute.

Lumapit na ako kay Gaius and I smiled at him, tinitigan niya ako paa hanggang ulo.

"You look nice." He said. Agad ko siyang pinasalamatan dahil bigla na kaming tinawag para pumunta sa gym. Doon gaganapin ang competition. I was almost late pa pala!

Naka akyat na kami at pinapwesto na dahil mauuna ang mga grade 10 rumampa. Kami ang mauuna ni Gaius dahil section 1 kami.

My classmates were cheering when the winners was about to be announced. Lord, kahit runner up lang.

"The champions are Zaphera Lanori Rodriguez and Christian Gaius Lopez from section 1!" I couldn't move when I heard my name.

Gaius held my hand, I stiffened a bit because this was the first time. We both went up that stage and received the trophies.

After that long tiring day, my account was full of messages congratulating me. I was so tired of saying thank you to every messages.

My mom got home and she congratuled me, she got me a red velvet cake and we ate it.

Gaius was studying hard these past few days. Lagi siyang nakatambay sa library, I decided to go there.

"Hey! Para saan yan?" I sat on the chair beside him, looking at all the papers.

"UST entrance exam." He looked at me and smiled.

"Oh." I was just watching him, I didn't want to bother him, mag-entrance exam din kaya ako?

"Magdodoktor ka ba?" I asked him out of nowhere. Sana naman oo, para ikaw na lang aasawahin ko. Tip from Sienna!

"Hindi, magpapari ako." I frowned. Totoo ba?

"Ba't ka nakasimangot?" Tinuro niya ang mukha ko. Hindi ako umimik.

"About the call dati, Anong ib-" Tinakpan ko kagad ang bibig niya, ayoko na ulit marinig ang kahihiyan na yun.

Napaaray ako ng malakas dahil kinagat niya ang kamay ko at sinita kami ng school librarian. Nairita ako ng onti at tinarayan na lang siya. Tumawa lang siya at biglang naging seryoso ang mukha niya.

"Nori, I really like you. Pwede bang manligaw?" He looked deeply in my eyes.

I was silent for awhile, I couldn't believe it! Hindi ko pa nga siya nilalandi! What the hell?

I came to my senses and said, "Yes! Kahit maging tayo na." Ano pa bang sense ng ligaw ligaw na yan? I could kiss him right now and he can be my first kiss!

"I want you to get to know me first, Nori. Ayokong magmadali tayo, ayokong pagsisihan natin ang isa't isa." Pinatong niya ang kamay niya sa kamay ko.

"Okay, I understand." I nodded at him, may ganito pa palang lalaki? Bakit sa mga kwento ni Sienna parang ibang iba? Who hurt her?

I went home and quickly called my mom.

[ Yes, anak? May problema ba? ] She sounded so concerned and stressed.

"Good evening, mommy! Wala naman po, balak ko po sana magentrance exam sa UST." I was hoping na payagan niya ako.

[ Oh. Ayaw mo na sa Ateneo? Akala ko ba ayun ang gusto mo? ]

"Change of heart, mommy! Sana payagan niyo po ako. I'll study hard and do my best!"

[ Don't worry, baby. Kung saan mo gusto mag-aral, doon kita ipag-aaral even if you're daddy doesn't agree with it, okay? Always remember that mommy has money. I love you, anak. May pasyente pa ako. ]

"I love you too!" I ended the call. I was lucky because I have a mom like her.

Pinakilala ko si Gaius sa parents ko as my suitor, payag naman si mommy except kay daddy. My mom reminded me not to take everything fast.

Hatid sundo ako ni Gaius, kasama ko na rin siya lagi maglunch, hindi na ako bumababa dahil lagi akong nilulutuan at dinadalhan ni Gaius. Nakakapagipon din ako dahil doon. The whole 5 months that was our routine. I got to know him more and more each day, walang araw na hindi kami nag-uusap at nagsasama, it was like the two of us in our own little world.

It was January at ngayon na namin malalaman kung nakapasa kami ni Gaius sa UST. Nasa sala kami ngayon sa bahay namin, inaaya ko siya sa kwarto ko pero ayaw niya. Parang hindi pa ako nakapunta sa kwarto niya noong unang punta ko sa kanila.

I screamed when I saw that I was qualified! Gaius passed too. Nagluto siya ng carbonara for us to celebrate. I called my mom to tell her the good news and she was very happy.

Napapansin laging malungkot ang mukha ni Sienna for the past months, I tried reaching out but she won't tell me and let me in. I'm so worried for her because she's my bestfriend now. I always check on her if she's okay, lagi ko rin niyayakap whenever I see her spacing out sa loob ng classroom.

I wanted to tell her na gusto kong sagutin si Gaius sa valentine's day and good thing it was prom! Pero parang bad timing. She looks like she don't get enough sleep anymore.

My friends and I went to some idk what it is called store to buy some prom dresses, wala namang dress code. We chose and bought the dresses that we liked. I couldn't pick so I bought two.

We went home and I took a quick shower, did my night skincare routine, put on my pajamas.

@zaphera : hi! I took a quick shower, pick a color please.

@cgaius : okay, drop the colors.

@zaphera : silver or red?

It took him awhile to reply, should I show him the two dresses? I was taking a picture of the both of it and was about to send it when he replied,
