Hi there, nice that you found the way to this story. This is the first longer thing I try, I usually just write Oneshots so don't be too hard with me :) And, English isn't my first language so there will be mistakes. Sorry for that.
About my story I can say that it is completely fictional and made up, and of course Ant and Dec and the TV shows as much as the other charakters don't belong to me but that should be clear. This story treats some sad, emotionally difficult subjects so I feel like I should warn you here to make sure if you want to read it.
Well, I hope that you like it and if you do I'd be so happy about votes or comments, that really encourages me. Stay happy and safe!

The day had been going great. The rehearsals for BGT this year were done and in a few weeks the live shows would start. No need to say that the host-doubleact and the judges were in an absolutely great mood when they left ITV-studios to get some well-needed rest.
"I've got a feeling that the shows are going to be great", Alesha said smiling before waving goodbye. The others stayed a bit together, standing in front of the ITV-studios and having a talk. It wasn't too late and no one felt like leaving already.
"I think like Alesha", Ant stated after the woman had left. "The rehearsals were great and I really think that the talents will be real talents and not just..." "... thinking that they are", Dec finished while Simon simply said "...idiots." He earned a poke by Amanda and David for this comment but laugher from the boys and Stephen who stood with them as well.
After another while, Amanda, David and Simon left to go home. So, it was just Ant, Dec and Stephen. Ant closed his eyes to face the light of the street lamp they were standing beneath. He had a slight smile on his face. Here he was - he couldn't believe things had gone so well for him. He had Anne-Marie and his stepdaughters, he had the best working team he could ask for, incredible friends and a best friend who felt like another part of him. The public still liked him, his family was healthy and he talked to his Dad again. After he had thought it could't get any worse, things had changed and become great.
Dec, who noticed how quiet his friend was, nudged him in the side. "You alright, man?" Ant looked at Dec, his incredible funny, loving, caring Dec, and nodded. "Yeah, just thinking about everything and... I'm happy, Dec. I'm just so, so happy!"
Dec beamed at him. He had suffered almost as much as Ant himself during the... hard times. It might be their connection, but there was something that made them feel as bad or good as the other one. And seeing Ant so happy made Dec feeling great. He pulled him in for a sideways-hug. "I'm happy too. I'm happy that you are happy. And I'm happy that I am happy."
They both laughed and Stephen shook his head at them. He adored their friendship and them as well, he was happy to call himself their friend. He knew he would never stand in between them but that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted the things to be as they were.
A loud ping-noise made everyone jump. Dec sighed as he took out his phone and read the message he had just recieved. He rolled his eyes. "Sorry, boys, but I gotta go. My wife seems to need me to help her with Isla, the little'un is kind of night-active... Well, see you tomorrow!"
He raised his hand to wave at them before spotting a taxi on the opposite side of the street and starting walking towards it. While walking, he typed a response for Ali.
Ant suddenly had a feeling. A feeling that sent prickling tension through his whole body, a feeling that seemed to scream Danger! Watch out! He looked up, everything seemed blurred like in some kind of really bad film. He could hear an engine coming closer, saw car headlights flashing through the darkness, a brake squeeking and a flash of way too fast metal.
It hit him within a second. "Dec!", he shouted. "Dec - Declan! MOVE!"
