He came back with a sandwich that was cut in half. He set it down next to me and sat on the ground in front of me. "So, what kingdom are you from?" He asked.
"The northern kingdom." I said.
"Oh my... it's going to be a big deal that you are gone." He said.
"Yeah, but my father will find someone to take my place. Maybe he will adopt a boy." I said.
"The other kingdoms are going to be looking for you as well. How are you going to hide?"
"Well, the eastern and western kingdom leaders are my best friends. They won't turn me in. It's just this kingdom I have to worry about." I said.
"People here don't deal with the northern kingdoms drama. We only get involved if we are in danger." He said.
"That's a little rude... we help you guys all the time." I said.
"I supposed. The king doesn't like helping people if it doesn't reward him in some way." He said. "Would you like to go for a stroll on my horse?"
"Sure, do you have something I could put over my head?" I asked.
"Sure." He said grabbing a cloak that was in the corner of his room.
"Thank you." I said pulling it over me.
"I would like you to close your eyes until we get into town." He said.
"That would be putting an awful lot of trust in someone I just met." I said eyeing him suspiciously.
"Ppease just do it. I swear on my honor that I won't turn you in or hurt you." He said.
"Okay..." I said closing my eyes.
He led me outside but it almost seemed like he was sneaking around. I could tell when we got to the stalls because of the smell and the sounds. He let go of me and I heard shuffling around. He led me to a stool and climbed on it.
"What are you-" I squealed as he picked me up and put me on the horse.
"Wow, you are light." He muttered.
"Don't scare me like that again." I said.
"I'm sorry." He said chuckling. "You have to hold onto me."
"Okay." I said blushing and wrapping my arms around my waist. His laugh was so cute.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
We started trotting towards town and if I am honest it got a little boring. I put my head on his shoulder and huffed. "I never ate that sandwich..." I mumbled.
He burst out laughing. "What kind of princess thinks about food?"
"The kind that's hungry." I said rolling my eyes.
"We can stop at the best bakery in town." He said.
I pumped my fist and he chuckled. Five minutes later I heard lots of talking coming from all directions. "You can open your eyes now." He said.
"Okay." I said pulling the hood off and opening my eyes. "This place is so pretty..." I said.
"Its not much." He said shrugging his shoulders.
All of the houses had some aspect of ice on or in them, which caused them to shine in the light. There was a big pit of fire in the middle of town that was visible from here. There was people everywhere but they seemed kind of distant. There was a kid crying in the middle of the street.
"Kid you have to-"
I cut off the boy by jumping from and going up to the little girl. "What's wrong?" I asked softly while kneeling down.
"My mommy left me alone. I'm scared." She said sniffling.
"Would you like me to stay with you until she gets back?" I asked.
The little girl nodded. "You don't look like you come from here." She said.
"I don't, I come from the northern kingdom." I said.
"My mommy said that people from there are to soft and sensitive." She said.
"Yeah, I can see why people think we are sensitive but it's not entirely true. Many monsters and villains come to our kingdom each day and we get rid of them without shedding a tear." I said.
"Huh? I don't like it here that much. People are really mean and they don't like other people. It's my dream to live in the northern kingdom." The girl said.
"Well, maybe one you will be able to. I'm sure you'd fit right in." I said.
"Who are you?" A woman behind me said.
"Ah, I'm nobody. I was just watching after her while you were gone because she was upset." I said turning around.
"Sure, you better not have hurt her in any way or you will have hell to pay." She said and walked off with her daughter.
"Jeez." I said climbing back on the horse.
"You aren't used to people here. Usually if you see a crying kid you ignore it." He said behind me.
"I would never ignore a crying child. That's terrible." I said with a look of disgust on my face.
"Anyway, I'm going to get some food for you at this bakery then we can head to a trail." He said jumping off.
I waited for him to get back. When he did he held two bagels and some tea we could enjoy later. We rode through town while I ate my food. It was really relaxing but the people seem kind of mean and isolated. It's a little sad. Once we got to the trail we slowed down to a stop.
"Why did you stop?" I asked.
"Do you want to guide him?" He asked.
"Yes!" I said.
He got off and I scooted up. He got back on and I grabbed hold of the reins and held tight. "You might want to hold on." I said.
"I will be fine, princess." He said putting emphasis on 'princess'.
That made me angry so I started going as fast as I could on a horse. We whipped through the woods at a high speed. He grabbed onto my waist and held on tight. I giggled and went to the western kingdom, also known as the dragon kingdom. I slowed down when it became more rocky. Once we had to walk we tied up the horse and made our way to the kingdom.
"I didn't think you were going to go that fast." He said looking dizzy.
"Don't use my gender against me and it won't happen again." I said.
"Are you sure we can just go in?" He asked.
"Oh yeah, Bakugou has been my best friend since we were little and Uraraka became my friend three years ago." I said.
"Oh, that's cool." He said.
"They got lucky when it comes to marrying. They naturally fell in love with each other." I said.
"I'm sure you will fall in love." He said.
"Maybe, what's your name? You know me but I have no idea who you are." I said.
"Shoto." He said.
"Why does that sound familiar?" I asked.
"I don't know." He muttered.
"Maybe I knew you in another life." I said giggling.
"Maybe." He said smiling.
"Were here!" I opened the door. "Hello friends!" I yelled.
I looked inside to see the head knight, All Might, looking at me. "No..." I said as he walked towards me.
"I'm sorry but your father wants you home." He said.
I nodded. "Goodbye, Shoto." I said as I shamefully walked out.
It was going to suck when I got home...
