Vlad made it back to the shelter of his secluded cabin in the woods, smiling to himself about how today's events went. He was glad he got to talk to the human boy, boris, was it? It certainly was a fun twist to his day. Though, he was glad he got out of there while he still could. His hunger had began to act up, and that could only mean no good.

Then it hit him. Vlad had said he would visit the bakery down where Boris worked. What was he thinking? Vlad mentally slapped himself for agreeing to do something so foolish. Being in public was already a danger for him, but now he would have to pretend to be human for at least one more day.

But maybe that wasn't so bad? The human seemed nice enough, and all Vlad had to do is make sure he didn't slip up and accidently reveal his true identity. Vlad hoped the boy wouldn't question the cloak, it was his only option after all.

"Ughhhh, I'm so stupid." Vlad groaned, taking a seat as his small wooden table. He opened up the bag of meat he had bought from the butcher and began to eat it raw. He had gotten the bloodiest meat possible, just as he liked it.

Vlad's mind wandered back to the inevitable upcoming event and groaned again. He really just needed to get his mind off of that boy, and the bakery for that matter. Vlad quickly finished up what he was eating and grabbed his journal, heading out into the forest. He knew Lukas and Arthur lived in a small hidden village nearby, so he decided to head off to find them.

Making his way quickly through the forest, Vlad arrived in front of their cottage and walked up to the door. He knocked a few times, waiting for a response. The shuffle of feet and a not so friendly noise from behind the door told him that Arthur was the one answering. "What do you want you bloody- oh, Vlad it's just you." Arthur crossed his arms in a huffy way I thought you were supposed to go to the market?"

"Oh! I did, it was quite the experience" Vlad replied, giving Arthur a sly grin.

Arthur brought his hand up to rub his forehead, groaning in mental pain "please don't tell me you caused chaos or did one of your little tricks on an unsuspecting human. We are supposed to blend in for a reason!"

"Well, it wasn't anything like that. Though I did bump into a person and ended up agreeing to meet them at their bakery-" Vlad was suddenly cut off mid sentence by a very distressed Arthur.

"You did what!? Are you insane? Of all the things you could've done.." Arthur began to mumble to himself again, going on a mini rant. In the midst of this rant, Lukas walked up behind Arthur and waved to Vlad.

"Greetings Vlad, what trouble have you caused today that has sent pur dear friend Arthur into such shock?" Lukas asked with an indifferent look on his face.

"He's gotten us all killed is what!" Arthur responded, throwing his hands up in aggravation.

Vlad sighed "I bumped into a human at the market. They said they wanted to apologize and offered to make it up to me if I stopped by their bakery, and I said yes." Lukas nodded his head slightly, taking in the information he had been given.

"Well, I don't see much of a problem with that. As long as you are careful you should be fine, though I would recommend thinking about what you are agreeing to before you actually agree to it" Lukas stated, giving Vlad a small frown.

"Yeah, yeah, I know that already. But I was in a rush! You can't blame me for not thinking things through when I'm on a rush!" Vlad exclaimed, crossing his arms in an attempt to imitate arthur. Arthur only huffed in reply.

"Well, are you going to come in or not you blood sucking leech? I'm not gonna hold the door open all day." Arthur spat out, though Vlad gladly accepted and walked straight in without paying mind to his rude remark. Arthur had always had a way with insulting people, Vlad never really thought much of it anymore.

Scattered around the cottage were piles of herbs and materials one could find used in many spells and potions. The cottage always had an earthy smell, one that was comforting, yet stuffy at the same time. A few jars lined the shelves filled with bugs or liquids of some sort. Vlad has always found the cottage to be in an organized clutter, if that made any sense. Arthur and Lukas were kinds like roommates, they shared the cottage and were pretty close. They had known each other for longer than Vlad had know either of them.

Vlad sat down in the main room of the cottage and began to doodle the cottage in his journal. It was always pleasant to visit Lukas and Arthur. Vlad soon began to fade away into a drawing mindset as the soft sound of Lukas and Arthur having another Argument in the background turned into white noise.
