My heart sank. He has a girlfriend. I should have known. I thought we could have had a chance again but I was clearly wrong. I should have never let my hopes get up. I put on a fake smile.

"Hi." I smiled and held out my hand for her to shake. "Name's Autumn, but everyone calls me Fall."

She took my hand and smiled. "Hi Fall. I'm Isabella, you can call me Bella."

I let go of her hand and turned to Thomas. "Well I have to go Owl needs me, she's sick. Nice seeing you again."

"It was wonderful catching up. Goodbye Autumn." He let go of Isabella and embraced me in a hug, not helping my cracked heart. He released me. I smiled and turned around, tears stinging my eyes. I was to the door and saw the reflection of Isabella and Thomas kissing. My heart finally shattered. I walked out of the café and walked home even though it was ten blocks away. I finally let a single tear fall. I was stupid of thinking that we could still have a chance, of course he would have a girlfriend that was much prettier then me, way better then me and a lot better for him. When I unlocked the door I heard the gunshots of Call Of Duty and Owl's rage. I couldn't hold it in any longer. I let all my tears fall harder. The game paused and Owl came bouncing in the room.

"Oh my god! Fall what's wrong?" She came up and hugged me. I pulled back and explained everything to her.

"You need to get your act together." She cupped my face in her hands and wiped the tears away with her thumbs. "You're stronger then that. Forget about him ok? Anyways I kind of made you a blind date."

I stopped crying. "What?"

"Yeah well I thought you needed a boyfriend so I kind of booked you a blind date at a fancy restaurant." She said excitedly.

"I'm not in the mood." I said glumly. She slapped me across the face.

"You need to stop being the over attached, heartbroken ex girlfriend and get out there and find yourself a man that won't forget you!" She said. I pressed my hand to my cheek and cried.

"Why are you crying now?" She asked.

"You slapped me really hard." I whimpered. She laughed causing me to. I stopped crying.

"I do need to get over him. Hell he's just a boy." I laughed.

"Now that's the spirit! Let's go get you ready!" She said and dragged me to her bedroom.

~Thirty Minuets Later~

"And done!" She said and stepped back. I stared at the stranger in the mirror. This girl had on a dark green mid sleeved dress that went to her mid calf. Her shoes were black heels that made her only an inch or two taller. Her hair was straight with a little waved pushed to the side. Her green eyes popped because of the eyeliner that surrounded them. Her eyelids were brushed delicately with the same shade of green as her dress. This girl was not me. I turned to Owl and gave her a hug.

"Thank you." I said.

"No problem." She released me and checked her watch. "Oh my god your date starts in a couple of minuets! Let's get you going!" She rushed me out the door.

We got to the restaurant just as my blind date was getting there. It was Owl's friend Tyler. He was 23, a year older then me, he had brown fluffy hair, freckles across his face, bright blue eyes, muscular and not bad looking. Owl introduced us and ran off. A waiter brought us to our table and I ordered tea and he ordered some drink.

"So Autumn right?" He asked. I nodded.

"What do you do?" He asked.

"I own my own bookstore, a do some photography and I sing and play guitar and piano." I replied.

"That's a lot. Do you just do photography and sing as like a side job or what?"

"Yeah, I mainly work in the store." I said. "What do you do?" I was never good at these things.

"I work in construction, making buildings and such."

"Oh that's cool." I said. Our waiter brought us our drinks and we ordered. I just had a chef salad and he ordered a hamburger. We chatted and joked around. He was actually really funny. I found out a lot about him. He's a construction worker, lives in his own house that he is remodeling and that's it. So I guess I found out like nothing about him but he's not bad. As our night came to an end he walked me back to my apartment. I thanked him and he kissed my cheek making me blush. I got inside and rushed to my room. I got undressed and took a shower. After my shower I got dressed in sweats and a t-shirt. Owl was snoring away in her bedroom but I couldn't get to sleep. I decided to play video games. I played until I passed out on the couch.

My phone is what woke me up. I answered it.

"Hello." I said slurring my words, trying to wake up. I looked over at the time and saw that it was eleven in the morning.

"Uh is this Autumn?" I heard someone ask.

"Yes who is this?" I asked this time more clearly.

"Thomas." He said. I shot up.

"Oh hey." I said. "What's up?"

"I was wondering if you would like to go eat lunch with me today." He said.

"Uh what about your girlfriend. Won't she be mad?" I asked.

He laughed through the phone. "Not like that. Just as friends. Try to catch up more."

"Oh ok. Sure. When and where?" I asked getting up and heading to my room.

"I'll pick you up in let's say an hour. Sound good?" He asked.

"Yeah." I told him my address and ended the call. I took a quick shower and blow-dried my hair then I got dressed in skinny jeans, a yellow and grey stripped long sleeve shirt, brown boots. I put on very, very light make up then brushed my teeth and hair. I heard a knock at the door and grabbed my phone. I bounced into the living room and opened the door. Thomas was standing there in jeans, a grey t-shirt with a black coat over it, his hair looking like he just woke up. He was hot. I'm just going to say it. He was hot.

He smiled. "Let's go."
