Jaiden sat on her bed watching a movie while Seth napped beside her, her fingers gently rubbing his scalp. It had been just over a week since his father had passed and he had phased for the first time, Sam had sat the two young teenagers down and explained everything to them, while Billy explained to Seth's older sister Leah who had also phased. Since Sam had dumped her Leah refused to listen to anything Sam had to say, claiming she didn't want to hear more lies from him. Jaiden didn't blame her since every time they were in a room together, Sam or Emily wouldn't stop apologizing claiming they didn't mean for this to happen. It was a surprise Leah hadn't punched him in the face.

Sam had also explained imprinting to the two, informing them of why Seth had stared so deeply into her eyes after he phased back into a human. Of course, Jaiden was confused because to her Seth always looked at her like that, but Seth insisted this time was different. Not only was he admiring how pretty she was, but the moment he looked into her eyes he promised himself he would protect her always, no matter what. Since she had been spending more time with Seth, and the imprint bond was set in, Jaiden had felt no desire to get high. She felt as if she was high whenever Seth was around her and she also felt like she was acting more of her age, and less like an overstressed college student.

"JJ, did I fall asleep?" Seth's tired voice asked as she continued to rub her fingers through his hair and watch tv.

"Yeah, I remembered the other day you said you were having nightmares so I didn't want to wake you," Jaiden replied while turning to look at him. He adjusted himself so he was sitting up next to her with his head laying on her shoulder while he yawned. Since Seth imprinted on her, the pair had become touchy, not in a sexual way but they craved the comfort of each other to relieve anxiety or stress, or even just because without the contact they felt alone.

"What time is it?" He asked while she moved so she was snuggled into his chest and he laid backward against her fluffy pillows.

"10 something," She answered, Seth immediately sat up slightly panicking because he had promised his mom to be home for dinner when she quickly relaxed him. "It's okay I already called your mom, I told her you seemed really tired when you got here after patrol and that I didn't have the heart to wake you up so she said she was okay with you staying the night as long as my door stayed open," Jaiden explained while Seth relaxed again and looked towards the open door with an amused grin.

"So your not rebelling at all?" Seth asked and she shrugged.

"I'm not wearing pants," She said while Seth immediately blushed and got embarrassed about the fact that they were both half-naked. "I'm wearing shorts," She added with a smirk as she moved her head up so her chin was resting against his chest and she was looking at his red face.

"Wow, your so funny," Seth said sarcastically while looking entirely unamused, but his blush still hadn't faded.

"No need to be sarcastic I was just joking," She said while he combed his fingers through her loose curls.

"Well, there was also no need for you to say that," Seth said while the hand that wasn't playing with her hair hooked around her waist ensuring that she wouldn't go anywhere.

"Ugh, I don't apologize," Jaiden said and Seth grinned at her.

"I never asked you to apologize," He pointed out as her leg hooked around his and she laid the side of her face against his chest again.

"Good," She said while closing his eyes. He smiled down at the girl laying on his chest before he attempted to slide out of her grip so he could turn the light off but she hooked her fingers into the belt loops of his shorts and tightened her leg around his so he couldn't go answer.
