Innocence~Seth Clearwater

Chapter 3

"Mom are you okay," Seth asked as he and Jaiden walked into his home that was filled with tribal members, all of them crying.

"Come with me you two," Sue said while leading them back towards Seth's room. Both of them looked at her in confusion. Jaiden looked around the room and noticed Harry's absence which caused her anxiety to spike up.

"Where's Dad?" Seth asked while nervously grabbing Jaidens hand. She gently squeezed his hand for reassurance.

"Sit down," Sue said gently, both the teenagers sat on the edge of Seth's bed. She gently rubbed her hand on both of their shoulders before breaking the news. "Your father had a heart attack today," She said. Jaiden raised a hand to her mouth in shock while her eyes welled up with tears. Seth squeezed her other hand painfully but she didn't say anything.

"Is he okay," Seth asked his voice moments away from breaking.

"Seth," Sue said softly. She didn't need to say anything else, both of them broke down in tears. After a few minutes, Seth angrily got up and left the room. Sue looked at him with tears still streaming down her face and Jaiden comfortably rubbed her arm.

"I'll go talk to him," Jaiden offered, Sue nodded and allowed Jaiden walked out of the room looking for Seth, she saw him storm out of the door, and head towards the woods and she quickly jogged after him. "Seth!" she called he stopped walking but didn't turn around, once she caught up to him he continued to walk through the woods. It felt like they had been walking forever when Seth finally spoke.

"Why him?" Seth asked quietly as they walked through the trees before Jaiden had a chance to answer Seth was yelling. "Why him!?" He yelled angrily before punching a tree. Jaiden went to rub his shoulder but flinched at his hot skin.

"Seth, I think you have a fever, let's go back to your house," she said while reaching for his hand but he pulled his hands away and reached up to tug on his hair.

"No!" He yelled before his leg awkwardly twisted and he screamed in pain.

"Seth!" Jaiden yelled in concern, she went to approach him but stopped as she saw his fingernails being replaced with claws. Fur slowly grew all over his body as his canines extended and he dropped to his knees in pain. Jaiden slowly backed away and tripped over a tree root causing her to fall on her butt. 

"What's happening to me?" Seth cried in pain with tears streaming down his face as his body twisted in agony on the ground.

"I don't know," Jaiden honestly answered while she continued backing away to avoid his claws. His back popped as it stretched so his body appeared longer and his shoulders both dislocated. Jaiden cried as he screamed again and Seth's body widened and stretched causing his clothes to shred and his nose stretched out so it appeared to be a snout rather than a nose. His screams turned into howls as fur coated his entire body and a giant wolf with tan, black, and white fur stood in front of a crying Jaiden. He sniffed the ground and slowly walked towards her and she kept crying while crawling away until her back hit a tree. 

"Seth, if you can understand me then you can't come any closer, you could hurt me," She said causing him to freeze. He tilted his head in confusion before looking down, it was as if he just realized he was no longer human he jumped up and immediately started scratching at the white fur that covered his front legs, blood started dripping down onto the ground causing Jaiden to start screaming again. "Stop it your hurting yourself," She screamed. 

"Jaiden stay back," Sam Uley ordered as him, Paul, and Jacob jumped in front of her.

"What did it look like I was doing, jumping up to hug him?" Jaiden asked sarcastically while wiping the tears off of her cheeks with the palms of her hands and standing up. The three boys gave her pointed looks before turning back to Seth, they soothingly coaxed him into turning back. Jaiden looked away, knowing he'd be naked due to his clothes shredding.
