form one's features into a pleased, kind, or amused expression, typically with the corners of the mouth turned up and the front teeth exposed.a feature that is common for a smile is our lips. it is the first or second feature that people will look at. since it conveys many things such as kindness or mischief. depending on the one's perspective, situation and many more factors. typically if it is a friend, you will smile kindly and in amusement. though if the situation is grim it is likely a smile of mischief.
eyes are another feature that can smile. not typically since it is not a mouth that is curving. though noticing how eyes curve slightly when it is genuine expression.
since eyes also 'smile' and can be told, subjective, as genuine if done so with a smile with the lips. so if a smile does not reach the eyes, it may mean something or nothing at all.
