Rose's POV;

  I woke up early that next day, to be exact, five-thirty in the morning. My flight wasn't until 5 p.m, but I still had to pack everything I could and fill out some paperwork for my transfer. Everything suddenly came back and hit me very hard, but I made sure I didn't cry. I needed to be strong, once I get into my Airbnb in Australia then I'll let everything out, but for now, keep it bottled up inside.

  After I made myself breakfast and changed into a sweatshirt and leggings that I accidentally left in the dryer, I went into my...Alex's bedroom and began to pack every little thing I owned into my two very large suitcases. That took about an hour so it was almost time to head over to the office and fill out the paperwork. I roll the suitcases over by the door I took out my keys and threw the key to my...Alex's apartment on the floor and the key to the car that he paid for, making a very loud ringing sound.

   (If you are wondering, yes those two are still asleep and yes I made as much noise as possible while packing)

  I look around the apartment one last time and give out a heavy sigh, "Goodbye apartment, you treated me well". I left the apartment and didn't look back. Although, I probably would be in a day or so when I have to go through old pictures. That's gonna be the day I will allow myself to uncontrollably sob for hours on end.

  Since I wore much comfortable clothing, it wasn't a bad walk at all. Although, carrying two very large and might I add heavy suitcases kinda ruined it. But luckily I was able to get there quickly. I walk through the building and smile and wave to old employees and go straight to my office.

  When I opened my door I saw Will, my assistant and basically my best friend too, standing by my desk and organizing a huge stack of papers. When I close the door he looks over at me and smiles, "Hey Rose, come to say goodbye to your favorite place in the world?". I chuckle and reply, "Oh yes, I don't know what I will do without this shitty office. Hopefully, the one in Melbourne is so much better". There was an awkward silence and I already knew what was on Will's mind so I just explained without him having to ask, "Found Alex cheating on me. That's what changed my mind". Will looks at me with wide eyes but before he could say anything I interrupted him, "Yes I'm fine, I'm waiting to break down once I reach where ever you are sending me". He just looked at me sympathetically with a smile.

  I walk to my desk and look at the papers then at Will, "Are these what I need to sign?". He nods and pulls a pen out of his pocket and hands it to me. "I'm gonna grab you a coffee alright? You probably need it". "You have no idea" I reply and sit down and begin.

  *Two Hours Later*

  By the time I had finished the last paper, it was about two-thirty and my hand was cramping like a bitch. I had also gone through two cups of coffee and ate a weird breakfast roll Will got for me last minute. I got up from my chair and stretched, guess I should get ready to leave.

  I call Will into my office and he arrives two minutes afterward, "All the paperwork is finished, you said that everything will already be there when I arrive?". He nods, "Yep, I will be flying in about a week after since you fought the boss on switching your assistant". "You are literally the one who got me this job, you aren't going anywhere. But when I get there, I won't start until Wednesday, correct?" I ask. "Yes, the company thought that would give you plenty of time to settle in to a brand new area". I nod, "But you won't be there until...?". "That coming up Sunday, I will still have plenty to take care of here so you will be given a sub-assistant for the time being" He explains. I sigh, "What a pain in the ass, huh Will?". He just laughs, "Yeah, it's a weird situation. But this will be good for you". I agree and walk to my window, "I will not miss this busy ass city that's for sure. My doctor said that in the past year my anxiety has increased by like five percent. Hopefully, some change in scenery will help". "It will. But don't forget, the day after you land you will need to register as a civilian, I already called the company to let them know what time you should be arriving, which is at twelve-thirty so please don't be late".

   I turn around and laugh, "Geez Will, you act like I can't take care of myself". The joke made him laugh and shake his head, "I just want you to be aware of the situation Rose. That's all.". I smile and hug him, "Thanks for everything, Will. I don't know where I would be without you". He hugs back, "Probably a janitor at the bottom floor". I pull away and punch his shoulder. We share a laugh, "Well I need to get going soon. Can you order me an Uber or something?". "Already taken care of. It should arrive in about ten minutes, so I will walk you down there and make sure you get in the right car since you are a bit dense sometimes" He responds. I laugh, "Fuck you".

   About five minutes pass when Will says that we should head down to look for my ride. I say goodbye to people as I walk past them and wait outside with my two awkwardly large suitcases. When another five minutes pass a car pulls up, "That's your ride, I'll help you pack your things into the trunk" Will says, grabs the suitcases, and puts them into the trunk. We give one final hug goodbye since we won't see each other in basically a week.

   I get into the car and wave goodbye and the driver starts the twenty-minute drive to the airport. 'I wonder what wonders will await me in Australia...'
