Rose's POV;It was about four in the afternoon and I was bored as fuck at the airport. I had spent already almost two hours here and since I'm flying alone it's even more boring. 'Fuck, I wish Will was flying with me,' I think. At the moment I was walking around the airport just looking around at all the shops. What made it worse was I most likely was gonna have a layover flight. Which probably means I'm gonna get stuck at a different airport for another two hours. I then noticed a food court so I decided to grab some food since I probably will be starving later on.
Once I got what I wanted. I found a nice table by a window a began to eat my sushi and scroll through my phone, but of course, nothing interesting was going on in the world either so I decided to text Will.
Me-
God this Airport is so boring Jesus Christ.
Will-
Haha, Idk what to tell you. Interact with another lonely person. Maybe you'll meet your future husband.
Me-
C'mon man, too soon.
Will-
Lol sorry. Hey, I gotta go. Text me when you have a layover okay?
Me-
Ugh, you bitch. But yeah I will
Will-
Bye. Have a safe flight
I turn set down my phone and look out the window while eating my sushi. "This is so fucking boring," I mumble to myself. Once I finished I threw away my garbage and sat back down to stare through the window. Suddenly, flashbacks of what happen yesterday went through my head. My eyes began to tear up, "No. Not right now," I tell myself trying to keep myself composed. I tilt my head slightly back to make sure they don't ruin my mascara.
When I went back to looking out the window I felt something cold and wet on my back. "What the hell?!" I exclaimed and got up from my seat quickly. I turn around to see a really tall guy with blonde hair. "Oh my god, I am so sorry! My stupid ass friend pushed my hand while it had water in it and it spilled all over your back." He had a really nice accent not gonna lie.
I reach my hand towards the back of my neck and felt the hood of my hoodie was soaking wet. I groaned, "Its fine." I went to go get something to go dry it off before he stopped me, "Wait, uh let me buy you another sweatshirt. It's the least I can do." I shake my head, "Nah dude it's okay. I have a shirt on underneath it anyway so it really doesn't matter."
"Shit, still I'm so sorry. My friends are complete dumbasses so you can blame them." He points towards two other boys, one was more light-skinned while the other had some darkness to it. "Aye, don't blame that on me cunt, Jay is the one who pushed you," The lighter-skinned one said. "No, you fucking autistic dumbass you pushed me into Cam." They both started bickering and they both had that Australian accent. I giggle a little at them and shake my head while taking my sweatshirt off showing off my plain black shirt. I look back at the really tall guy, "But again, its completely okay. But I gotta go, I have a flight to get to probably. Bye."
I head back to my gate and take a seat. I sighed and just decided to listen to music until the plane boards.
*Forty Five Minutes Later*
I look up and see the worker talking into a microphone. I took one of my earbuds out and listened, "Flight 22, Class B is now boarding. Once again Flight 22, Class B to L.A is now boarding." "Thank God," I say to myself and get up and get into line.
Once I sat down by the window, I put my earbud back in my ear and looked out the window and waited for the plane to take off. I then felt something hit my shoulder lightly and when I looked over it was the really tall guy from before. I took out my earbud again, "Oh boy. You better not spill any water on me. This is the last thing I'm wearing besides my bra," I joke gesturing to my shirt. He looks at me with wide eyes and chuckles, "I'll try." I look over to the person sitting next to him, he had dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wasn't that bad looking.
But I mind my own business and go back to looking out the window, not bothering to put my earbud back in. But I could just feel that uncomfortable feeling of someone staring at you. I look back over to see that he was staring at me kinda. "Um, can I help you?" I ask with a laugh. "Oh sorry, I was just uh staring out the window a little."
"Well since we are spending a long time sitting next to each other on this flight, what's your name?" He kinda looks at me with curiosity, "Oh its uh, Cameron but people usually just call me Cam." "Alright, my name is Rose. Can I ask, where are you from? Cause I find your accent very cool." A light smirk tugs at his lips, "I'm from New Zealand. But because I talk to a lot of Americans its kind of become this weird fucked up mix. Are you from New York?"
I shake my head, "No, I grew up in Hawaii for about the first fifteen years of my life but then my family moved here. I've lived here for only like seven years but I picked up the accent kind of quickly from school." "Oh okay, where are you going?." "To Australia for a job transfer. It kind of just happened yesterday." He looked at me confused, "If you don't mind me asking, why are you transferring?" I grip my armrest tightly and shift my body, "It's complicated. That's basically the gist of it." "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." I shake my head again, "No its not that. I honestly haven't even comprehended that I am moving to a random place in the span of two days."
He nods, "Ah, understandable. Well, I hope Australia will treat you well. Maybe we'll run into each other sometime since I visit there often." I smile, "That would be cool. Especially since I don't know a single person there." "Wait really? Have you never been there before?" He looks at me with concern. "No, but my assistant will be showing up later this coming up week. So I'll only be alone for a few days." Cameron frowns, "That's kinda concerning but, I won't get into your business. So what do you do?". "I have the most interesting job in the world as a twenty-two-year-old," I pause for dramatic effect, "A crime analysts" Cameron laughs lightly, "Wow very interesting." "What do you do?" I ask.
He kind of looks at me weirdly and shifts slightly in his chair, "Are you a pornstar or something?" I joke. He chuckles, "No, but my work is online..." I look at him suspiciously, "Are you a YouTuber?" He looks at me with a slight shock, "Uh yeah. I am." He looked like I was gonna judge him but I found it interesting, "That's very interesting. I always found it fascinating that people could make such a good living off of making videos on the internet on whatever interests them." He looks at me with amazement, "Wow, that's uh, not the reaction I was expecting..."I smile, "Well I think it's very cool Cameron" "Thanks"
A/N: See told you they would meet in this chapter. How'd you like it? Don't worry the drama is gonna be coming up soon.
