NORA'S POV

This was my fourth month in the university and my first exams were dancing atilogun towards me,exams were to begin next week and unfortunately for me I had calculus first,don't get me wrong,calculus isn't so bad,but I've to spend extra hours understanding it compared to other courses.

we (and by we I mean tess,merce and i) were slowly getting the hang of this night class thing,sometimes we read together other times we read separately, and it was one of those occasions that I met him, I decided to read at basement that night,I needed to put as much calculus into my brain,but my body had other plans,because as soon as I got there,I joined the sleepers club.

I enjoyed my sleep until I felt a tap,and I looked up with groggy eyes,and I saw
a guy average height,broad chest and small pink lips,how I managed to notice those things in my sleep induced state still beats me,his voice broke into my thoughts

"huh,excuse me,you are blocking my way,I want to go to my seat"

"oh my,am so sorry" I replied me while making room for him to get to his seat

"oh its okay,I got to stare at your beautiful face"

I smiled,"well am awake now,I'll just get straight to reading", he returned the smile and went to sit down

I was so engrossed in my calculations that I didn't notice he had come to sit close to me,when I looked up,I managed to smile and he returned it as usual

"hello stranger" I said to him

"hey there stranger" he replied back

I laughed,"what brings you here?"

"well two reasons,I wanted to introduce myself,and I wanted to see the course that got you all worked up"

I smiled,"well get on with the introduction then"

"my name is victor,am a final year student,department of mathematics"

I held my chest in exaggerated relief "oh my knight in calculated armour has arrived"

he laughed hard at this,"beauty and a sense of humor,I like it"

"well thank you sir calculus,my name is nora,fresher,department of biochemistry"

"oooh the brainy league,nice" he smiled at me

"I think you mean yourself right?,I can literally sniff mathematics all over you"

"abeg don't patronize me ojare,let's see what has gotten you so worked up shall we?"

And we got right into business,victor helped me so much that I almost felt bad,I dont think he got to study much

by 3am we were rounding up,I honestly couldn't thank him enough and I told him so

"thanks toh I owe you one"
"toh?"
I smiled,"I have an habit of giving nicknames I hope you don't mind"

"hell no,Its an honour"
"you and this your cute words sef,"
he laughed,"I try sha,and yes you do owe me one and I'll collect in due time".

And that was how victor and I became friends,on the third night of us meeting,we exchanged numbers,my calculus had improved tremendously,victor was such a gentle man or boy or boy man...neeh pick whichever

I finally wrote my calculus exams,I have mixed about it though,but I just have to wait and see the results,I was in my hostel with mercy chilling and trying to revise our next exam which was in four days,I was more calm now that calculus was out of the way.

"where did you say tessa went to again?" mercy asked me

"I don't know,but I guess she went to see a guy,she better bring goodies when coming"
