Chapter 5.5- The Meeting

Erwin's POV

Well, that was unexpected. 

"ATTENTION ALL MILITARY AND SCHOLAR PERSONNEL, PROCEED TOWARDS THE MISSIONS ROOM FOR THE MATTER THAT'LL BE SOON DISCUSSED." Stefan said as his voice blared through the intercom. 

"Well, That seemed to be important." Alice as she fixed up her hair into a bun. 

"Well,It should. We're already in Orbit of this planet, so we'll need a plan for the first foothold." I said, giving a small 'rundown' of it. 

"Ok, Let's go! I wanna see what's happening in there." Lukas said as We got up from our table in the mess hall as we then proceeded towards the elevator, it was also quite crowded, as there are a bunch of people waiting at the elevator. 

"Crap." Lukas cussed as we all noticed a bunch of people at the area, waiting for the Elevator to come to their floor while the crew of the King's Landing are going about their day.

"We should use the other elevator." I suggested.

"Uhm. We can't, it's likely that it's being used as well." Alice said as I went back to the drawing boards.

"Let's take the emergency ladders or the stairs, their quicker." Emily said as We left the elevator area to look for a staircase or the least a ladder. 

Short timeskip

We found a staircase as we descended towards the Operations room which is basically the following floor below the Crew Deck. 

I noticed that the others that were at the Elevator were able to get down and I also noticed that some of the others have made their way using the stairs. 

We all then proceeded towards the room as I took notice that the rest of the crew here are managing their areas, I also saw some people checking what's likely the Storage compartments to ensure that the supplies are in optimal condition.

We eventually made it to the Missions room and as the door opened, we entered, seeing that the seats are filling up quickly, Emily noticed four empty seats next to each other, we then proceeded towards the empty chairs. And as we sat down, I noticed both Captain Ushakov and General Von Krieg preparing a briefing of the op. 

"Ladies and Gents, today, we've found ourselves in uncharted space, with only the Gateway as our way back home. On top of that, this planet, may have something of value to us." He said as the projector displayed the planet from orbital view. 

"We have made observations on this planet, and turns out, there are Humans who inhabit the planet, as well as some sub-species of Humans." He said as the projector showed a news broadcast of both Humans and whatever the Beast-men are. 

"And on top of that is this." The General said as he brought up footage from one of the Drones, depicting two human teens fighting and then retreating from black beasts

'By the Pantheon, what are those?' I thought as I observed what are these creatures.

"This was caught several minutes ago, it would seem to me that these humans not only have racism in their midst, they also have a beast problem." Ushakov said as he explained to us the situation on this peculiar planet as the projection of the footage ended and went back displayed the planet.

"Now, General Von Krieg will be leading the force going for the planet." Ushakov said as Von Krieg took the podium.

"Thank you, Grand Admiral. As you've seen, this is a unique situation. But thanks to our scans and Drone Reconnaissance, We have found viable areas where we can make our main base of operations. The only problem we have is those beasts and the Primitives." Von Krieg said as the holo-globe rotated towards both a large continent connecting next to another continent.
