Brrriiiinnng!! Finally, schools over. "Class dismissed! Don't forget you guys have a pop quiz tomorrow. Make sure you study!" Our science teacher Mrs. Simmons just said.
I gather all my stuff and leave the classroom. "Whoaa. Slow down." A hand touched my shoulder and that hand happens to be Daniel"s. <3
"Oh hey" I say, trying not to look surpised. I'm not ver happy about what happened during lunch. I hate Mikayla, she just had to ruin everything. I don't understand why she hates me. What did I ever do to her?
"Look, I'm sorry about what happened during lunch. I ruined everything." He shakes his head.
"No! You didn't. It's fine!" I gushed. The truth is, it really isn't. I wanted to be with Daniel and that was my only chance to hang out with him. I start walking away to hide my dissapointment.

She walks away. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't fine. She looked like she was dissapointed. I just don't understand why I'm always messing everything up.
I thought of the craziest idea. "Julie!" I yelled across the hallway.
She quickly turned around "Yeah?" I walk towards her.
"Your going home right?" What am I doing?
"Yeah."
"I would love to give you a ride." I've gotta admit, I'm a nice guy.
Her eyes widen. "You don't have to, I'll just walk home." She said softly.
"Please." I beg. "Let me make it up to you-again." I let out a small laugh.
"Okay."
+++++++++++++++(Moments Later, in the car.)++++++++++++++++
The silence is making things really awkward so I turn on the radio.
I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums
Oh what a shame that you came here with someone
So while your here in my arms, let's make the most of the night
like were gonna die young.
The music poures into my head and I start humming the tune. I hear a little giggle right beside me, Julie's laughing at me. That was embarassing. I try to play it cool and say "Is it funny?"
"Yes!" She giggles. She's so adorable. What am I saying? "Who knew Daniel Maze could sing!?"
"Shut up." I smiled and teased. It got quiet for a moment. Then she tarted so sing along with the song. "
"Looking for some trouble tonight, take my hand I'll show you the wild side." She sang and I joined in too. "Like it's the last night of our lives, we'll keep dancing till we die" I tried to sound all funny and messed up the high pitch note. I'm a terrible singer and I've never sang before, especially not with anybody.
She started laughing at me and I did too. We both ended up laughing and singing goofily till the end of the ride. About, 10 minutes later, wre almost there. I didn't want her to go and I didn't want this to end.
"There's my nieghborhood." She pointed at a sign that says "Maple Woods". I turn the car and come in the entrance. The neighborhood is filled with tall houses madeo out of bricks. It looks like a coll neighborhood.
"My house number is 4598." She added. I pass a couple more houses. 4595, 4596 4597, 4798. I park the car into her driveway. Her house was tall, made out of bricks, it has two garages. I turn the car off and pull out the keys.
"Thanks so much for taking me home."
"No problem." I walk her up to the door and I put my hands inside my pockets.
"Well, thanks again." She flashed a cute nerdy smile. Even though, she looks different she still has that same "Julie" inside her. "I really had a great time." I cansee her blush and she tries to hide it away from me.
Out of nowhere, the door opens and a tall blonde woman came out. I try not to look startled.
"Well hello there!" The woman had a pencil skirt on and a tight top.
Julie rolls her eyes. "Daniel, this is my mom!" She sighs. I knew it was her mother! She looked nothing like her mother except for the hair and eye color.
"Daniel! Nice to meet you! Did you take my daughter home?" We both shake hands.
I hope she doesn't think I'm her boyfriend or anything. "Yes." I try ot make a good impression.
"Thank you, Daniel." She smiled at me. I scratch the back of my head. I see Julie with her face in embarassment.
"Okay, mom you should go." She tries pushing her mom back inside the house and I laugh a little. "Your scaring, Daniel."
"Daniel?!" Her mom says as if my name sounded familiar. "Oh my goodness, Julie! I almost forgot! Is this the boy you've been having a crush on for years?" As soon as I heard her say that, I felt very wierd and embarassed. I don't even know why. I knew whe still had a crush on me.
All of a sudden, her face turns really red and her eyes widen. "Mom!!! Go inside! Gosh! Your so embarassing." She pushes her mom back inside the house. I wish my mom was as coll as hers. All my mom does is work, work, work.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry about that." She puts her hand on her forehead. "Ignore what she said. It's-it's -it's not true. Well it was, a long time ago. You know what, I should go." She's talking so fast tha tI can barely understand her.
"It's fine." I say. Did she say that what her mom said wasn't true. Pssh. Why do I care? It's not like I want to know if it's true or not.
"Well, once again." She chuckles. "Thanks for the ride."
"Anytime." I say as I start walking away from the porch. I get in my car and turn on the engine. She waves me goddbye and I wave back at her. I back away from the drive away and dirve off. I look to my left mirror and see her standing there for a moment then she gets inside the house. I still look at the house as I drive farther away from it till I can't see it's tiny figure anymore.
I feel different. My heart beats fast when I talk to Julie and everytime she looks at me, it makes me feel wierd. What's happening?

I quickly close the door and sigh. I can't believe she did this to me. "Mom! What was that all about?!" I go to the kitchen and find her chopping carrots. WIERD.
"Oh Jules, I'm so happy for you." My mom is really wierd she's not like other moms. She talks aobut guys I have crushes on and other people's lives at school. She's a cool mom but sometimes she embarassing. "You finally have a chance with Daniel! Oh my baby's gorwing up, come here.
I made a wierd face face and walked up to her. She gave the most tighest bear hug which made me groan. "Mom! I can't breath." She's squeezing my lungs out.
"Oh dear I'm sorry. But anyways this is so exciting. I can't believe he gave you a ride." Okay, what this supoose to be an insult?
"Yeah yeah." I roll my eyes. "I don't like him anymore. LIES. LIES .LIES.
"Oh honey, you're such a bad liar, I can see it in your eyes that your lying." She continues chopping the carrots. I look at her with a straight face, she makes a lovey dovey kissing face wich made me crack up.
"I knew it!" She laughed. "Julie, just be yourself and you never know what might happen."
Will he really like me? Is it possible? I run upstairs and crash into my bed, dreaming about how life would be like if Daniel liked me.
