Rahul woke up the next morning and quietly left the room without making any sound that would disturb Rohit's sleep. He did not wanted to listen to Rohit's tantrums and grumblings about how the world is unfair and everyone is behind his precious sleep and no one lets him sleep peacefully.
He went to his room and changed into his gym attire. After an hour and a half he returned to his room and freshened up and started towards Rohit's room praying that Rohit is still not sleeping and he doesn't have to wake him up. But Rahul was disappointed seeing Rohit sleeping peacefully.
Rahul was about to shake Rohit when Rohit's phone started ringing. It was an incoming video call from Ritika. Rahul was confused that why would Ritika call at that hour as it may be around 2:30-3:00 in the morning in India. After few rings when Rohit did not even stir a bit Rahul decided to receive the call. As soon as the network connected Rahul heard a loud cry from the other side. Ritika came into the view surprised thinking that Rohit picked up the call so early but when she saw Rahul she sighed.
Rahul : What's the matter bhabi? Samaira itni ro kyun rahi hai?
Ritika : Pata nahi? She woke up an hour ago and is crying since then. I've tried everything to make her stop crying and put her to sleep. That's why I called at this time even though I know Ro will be sleeping but I was hopping he would be awake. Maybe Sam would stop crying after seeing her dada!!
Rahul : I'll wake Ro wait.. ( he started shaking Ro ) Ro wake up.. Sam ka call hai.. Uth jaooo
Samaira saw her dada in the phone and started crying more. Seeing this Ritika facepalmed. Hearing all these Ro managed to wake up. It took a moment to understand what was happening and as soon as he understood he took up the daddy duty and started talking gibberish making animated faces to pacify Sam and make her stop crying.
Rahul was having a hard time controlling his laughter seeing Rohit's antics.
After sometime when Sam went into a deep slumber Ritika thanked Rahul for picking up the call otherwise Rohit would never have picked up the call. Rohit was about to retort but kept his mouth shut seeing Ritika grumpy due to lack of sleep.
After the call...
Rahul : Why don't you go and freshen up? I'll order breakfast till then
Rohit : No. We'll go and have there.
Rahul : Arey par tumhare pair mein dard hai... Why do you want to stain it more?
Rohit : Mere pair pe dard hai par tere pair tho theek hai naa.. mujhe chalne mein help karde aur waise kab tak sadte rahenge is room mein. Wait kar mein fresh hoke aata hun.
Rahul : (talking to himself) bas bolta hai sunta nahi.boldiya aur chaldiya.
After sometime both were on their way to have breakfast. Rohit was limping a bit and Rahul tried not to get worked up but finally..
Rahul : Isiliye bola tha room mein hi order karlenge par sunna hi nahi hai tumhe
Rohit : Injury hui hai tho bhai dard bhi hoga par room mein hi baitha rahunga tho theek bhi nahi hoga flexibility nahi hogi tho injury theek kaise hoga?
Rahul didn't have any counter to him. So he was silent. They had breakfast with light conversation and after that their next stop was the masseur's room. Rohit was taken inside for the therapy and Rahul went to his room.
There was a knock on the door and Rahul found a bell boy.
Rahul : Sorry but I haven't called for any room service..
BB : Sir I've been asked to shift all your belongings to Mr. Rohit Sharma's room by our manager.
Rahul was surprised. He did not ask anyone to do the task and this man was saying his manager has told him to shift his belongings?
Rahul called the receptionist and asked for the manager..
Manager : Hello sir.. how can I help you?
Rahul : Why did you send a helper to shift my belongings to Rohit Sharma's room? I haven't asked you to do so?
Manager : Sorry sir but I've been told to do so by Mr. Rohit Sharma himself. He as asked me to shift your belongings and also cancel your room booking.
Now Rahul was so confused that he didn't say anything and silently watched as his belongings were packed and taken to Rohit's room.
When he went to the masseur's room he saw Rohit talking with the doctor who came to check him.
Rohit saw Rahul and indicated him to sit beside him
Doctor : Hello Mr. Rahul. I've just told Mr. Sharma that his leg is improving slowly. I would advice him to stay a week more here and then go to India. I advise you take small walks in the lawn twice a day. But make sure you don't strain your muscles. Continue with the massages.
After nodding their heads to the doctor they started going towards Rohit's room... no THEIR room...
Rahul : Tumne manager ko mera room khali karvake tumhare room mein badalne keliye kyun kaha?
Rohit : Kyun koi problem hai mere sath ek hi room mein rehne keliye? Dekh Rah mein jaanta hun tere paas paise hai par iska matlab yeh nahi ki tu unka unnecessary use kare.. Aur vaise bhi mein akela tu akela tho ek room mein rehne mein kya dikkat ?
Rahul : Par...
Rohit : Yaar tu aaj kal har sentence mein "par" kyun dal raha hai... par var kuch nahi tu mere saath ek hi room mein rahega and that's final.. aur vaise bhi ab Vi bhi nahi hai to tu jaga dena mujhe subah jaise aaj jagaya jab Rits ka call aya vaise..
Rahul : mein nahi jagaunga... its so hard
Rohit : Mein tujhse puch nahi raha mein tujhe bol raha hun... I'm your captain
Rahul : You are not my captain Virat is my captain
Rohit : captain ke absence mein vice captain hi captain hota hai... itna bhi nahi jaanta par international cricketer kaise ban gaya re tu?
Rahul started laughing listening to that.. They went to the room and had lunch and started watching movies.. Rahul almost forgot about his question bank he had in his mind yesterday but he's Rahul he just can't forget things..
So after dinner he was lying on the bed beside a sleeping Ro and thinking about hiw to clear all his insecurities...
By now he understood that Ro was soo friendly with him and nothing changed even if he took Shikhar's openner spot. But the nagging he has in his heart just doesn't leave him. Rahul wants a deep bond with Rohit like he has with Virat. He wats to behave with Rohit the same way Hardik and Yuzi behave.
But unknown to him he has become an important person in Rohit's life and Rohit is seeing him the same way he sees Hardik.
