Chapter 2: The Slap To A Cheater
"I'm sorry."
I stared at him with anger clear in my eyes, any other emotion other than that had disappeared. The day I caught him, with his supposed best friend aka ex fiancé and now his mistress who was heavily pregnant.
"For what? Cheating on me or not answering my phone when our baby needed you the most but you were too busy with her."
I watched his frown deepened, knowing he had ruined everything we once had. I had been the wife he needed to stand proudly amongst other Leaders without a fear of being embarrassed, I changed the way I dressed, acted, the way I sat or even talked.
I had became the trophy wife!
"For everything Rose, everything."
His voice sounded desperate, but as I stared at him all I could remember was how his arms were around her, whilst she was heavily pregnant. I could remember, shaking and crying trying to contact him whilst our son had stopped breathing and had to be brought to the hospital urgently and I also remembered how he lied to me about being at a meeting.
"No your not. If you were really sorry about what you did, you would have the guts to tell me that you no longer wanted me and that you cheated on me and got that bitch pregnant. Your not sorry for not being there to sit beside me in the waiting room whilst they took Luca away, because you were too busy enjoying the moment with the women who is now carrying your child."
The venom was laced in each and every word Which left my mouth, I watched him flinch at my harsh words of reality. The love was there but I was hell bent on making it go away, if he wanted to cheat then I will show him how a wife can be. He saw the obedient, submissive and loving wife I will show him how a broken and destroyed wife can be.
"I loved you yesterday, I love you today and I will continue to love you forever, my Rose."
I shook my head at his words, there would have been a time when his words would make me shiver and blush but now I was debating whether his words even held any reality. He had broken our vows, he is a liar and I can never trust him.
"Mr Martinez, let me get this clear. The only reason I am here is because I am well aware of the Mafia law, I am aware if I want to divorce you it would mean losing me son and that is the last thing I want, I will stay until the day you yourself decide I can leave...with my son."
My boldness had startled him, he stared at me with pain in his eyes. He could see how he had torn me apart, broken the women who loved him without a doubt. Who once worshipped the floor he walked on, but that was no longer me.
"I will not stop loving you, Rose. I know I have betrayed you but believe me I love no one other than you. I would have married her if I loved her but I married you, does that not prove my love for you?"
I scoffed at him, shaking my head I walked closer to him now standing inches away from him. He was taller than me, him being at 6'02 and me being at 5'11 made a difference but not too much. However, Talia was 5'2 which made me wonder how it even worked.
"That is the problem, Mr Martinez. There was a time I believed you, I believed you loved me because you went against everyone to be with me, but now I see it as a mistake."
My words were reality, the truth that I was feeling on the inside. I felt our marriage was a mistake, as much as it pained me to tell myself but I knew we were never meant to be. I always imagined myself, with a man in the same business sector as my father, being perfect, flawless and loving but instead I married a man my heart fell in love with.
"You do not mean that, Rose. Me cheating on you is my mistake, me ruining our happy and perfect family is my mistake but our love, our marriage it can never be a mistake and Luca is the proof, the living proof of that."
I gasped as he gripped my arms and pulled me into him, I struggled to escape from his grip making me glare into his eyes.
"Let go of me." I gritted out, with my teeth clenched together, but it seemed to have gone deaf in his ears as he leaned his face closer to mine, which made me do what anyone would do in my situation...knee him where the sun does not shine.
Releasing me from his grip, I watched him crouched down palming his dick from above his jeans. My hands flew and slapped him across the face, my anger was clear in the force of my palms.
"Bark you dog. Do not touch me with your filthy hands."
I screamed, only to hear a gasp making my head snap towards the end of the living room where the queen of devils; my mother in law stood but what angered me more was the bitch that stood beside her.
"How dare you slap my son, who do you think you are?"
Helen screamed approaching me, before she could get any closer to me Lincoln stood in front of me stopping her from doing anything to me.
"She is my wife, mother. I would suggest you calm down."
He sounded as if he was scolding his mother who stood dumbfounded, shocked at how his ruthless and the man who would never let anyone lay a finger on him not even his own parents defended the women who slapped him.
"I WANT HER GONE!"
