How Stevens PTSD was handeled

I loved Steven universe for most of my life, and when I was blown away by the movie too. I was sooo happy when future was announced, and I love that they finally addressed Stevens PTSD, but I wished they handled it better. From the first episode it was clear that something was bothering Steven, Which I'm assuming was because he got his new powers?
Side note:Is anyone slightly annoyed of how much powers Steven has? That might be a rant for another day
Anyway, during the hiatus everybody was talking about how Steven should get therapy or predicting who would help him get through this or theorizing that he was wormy boi. So moving on form to the second half of future everyone was excited and scared mainly because of some very concerning leaks(more on that later). So we start out with in dreams, which was one of the BEST SU episodes ever. Steven seemed to be better because of peridot, but actually wasn't.
Then bismuth casual, which was another amazing episode where everything was good. Connie reassured Steven about his worries of them drifting apart so we got two good things.
Now together forever, as a connverse shipper I was terrified. And the first half wasn't so bad, we got ruby and sapphire giving Steven bad advice but with good intensions and he got so excited it was every cute. The song Id rather be me with you is one of my favorite SU song, but sadly this is when he slowly got worse. It's not Connie's fault, don't blame her if she doesn't wanna get married at 14, she let him down easy and even said "not now". But Steven still had a right to be upset but this wasn't his main turning point, that would be mr.universe.
I was never the biggest fan of greg, he seemed to be an ok father but now I see that he doesn't know a lot about Steven. He wasn't there for most of the traumatic moments Steven had when he really needed his dad the most. In this episode Steven gets angry, and again has a right to, at his father for not giving him the life he wanted. I mean he's different because he's a hybrid but that doesn't mean he has to miss out on school or going to the doctor. But greg seems that as freedom to Steven and better than his life where he had a stable family and a normal but good life. And Steven crashes the van and runs away to jasper where he learns to control his power and then shatters jasper.
Some people now think that Steven is now worse than pink diamond which is totally not true.
Then in homeworld bound he tries to talk to the diamonds which makes him even more unstable.
Side note: I was really disappointed in how they handled Steven and spinels relationship. I was expecting Steven to like spinel but he was actually really annoyed with her. I can see why, your not gonna love the person that basically murdered some of your family but still.
Anyway the rest of the finale happened and his family hugged him and I'm assuming he told them about everything. But they showed us nothing about how he got better, they did show us that he started to see a therapist and do more self care but that was it.
I think the decision to leave beach city was the best thing Steven can do for himself but I would at least show some of the healing process instead of just time skipping. After the movie I knew that there would be more, the movie attracted a TON of new people to the fan base, so it was pretty obvious they where gonna make more. But I feel like it was sorta rushed, future started in December which was only 3 months after the movie which was really quick and I wished they took more time planning everything out.
What they should have done was have Steven go on his downward spiral halfway through future and go all wormy then. Then they could've had ten more episodes left to show the healing process. A lot of people watching the show went through, was, or is going to go through what Steven did and it would've been appreciated in the fanbase, or at least that's just my opinion
