She Died

It is the 20th of the December so I go out to buy some gifts from my friend. I just wore a mini skirt and blue top and partnered it with a sneaker. I love Christmas even though the feelings of it doesn't the same anymore. I love giving gifts, I love how I see childrens doing some carolings and when it is already Christmas their outfits are just so good to see.

As soon as I arrive to the Mall I went to department store to look for some gifts. While searching for the gifts for my loved ones I saw a familiar face.

"Thea?" Oh the mahangin boy in Tagaytay

"Do I know you?" I said. Just want to tease

"Ouch! You hurt my feelings." He said and acting like an actor.

I chuckled and said, "How could I forgot someone who ruined my night?"

"Grabe Thea it's been months. Ang sakit huh! Gusto ko nalang maging friends tayo."

"Sure ka friends?" May hidden agenda 'to for sure.

"Edi wow friends??" He say

"Wow sure? I don't like to be your friend."

"You really like hurting me 'no?"

"Hurting you ego?" Asar ko sakanya and he just make faced. "Ewan ko sayo bahala ka nga dyan. I'm busy looking for gifts. Bye!"

I was about to go when he grab my hand. "Not to fast. Can I go with you?"

"Can't you go with yourself? I don't like a nuisance!" I murmured

"Promise behave ako." While raising his right hand and so I gave in.

After the endless walking and finding, finally we are done. Kaya rin pala siya nandito para maghanap ng presents for his family and friends. Now we are in a fast food chain to grab some foods because we are really hungry lalo na siguro siya dahil lahat ng pinapamili ko siya yung nag-bibitbit, sabi ko naman na huwag na pero mapilit siya.

"Hindi ka ba nangangalay or nabibigatan?"

"Duh easy!"

"Yabang! Sumakit sana yang kamay at katawan mo. Hmp!" Sabi ko sabay binilisan yung lakad ko, wala lang trip ko lang pero bigla nalang sumakit yung dibdib ko. Shit, bakit dito pa? Bakit sakanya pa?

"Thea! Thea! Okay ka lang?" Nag-aalalang sabi niya.

I wanted to assure him that I am just okay but before I did everything went black.

Beth's

Ang tagal naman ni Thea umuwi. Hindi naman ganito yun naabot ng alas nuebe na hindi nagsasabi.

"Manang pa-call ng si Thea. Hindi na talaga maganda ang kutob ko."

"Beth kanina ko pa din tinatawagan e hindi ko ma-contact. Tinawagan ko na rin yung mga kaibigan niya pero hindi daw nila alam."

Thea! Papatayin mo yata ako sa takot. Sana okay ka lang. Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko.

Unknown Number (Calling)

"Hello. This is St. Mary's Medical Hospital. Are you the guardian of Ms. Santos?"

"Yes. I am. What happened to her?"

"Sinugod po siya dito sa hospital Ms. And punta nalang po kayo para pormal namin na makausap kayo."

Fate! Bakit ganito?!

Dali dali kami nina Manang Lising pumunta sa hospital, tinawagan na rin niya yung mga kaibigan ni Fate while on our way. Hindi pa niya natawagan sila William dahil daw hindi ma-contact. That two! Ano klase silang magulang? Na pabayaan ng ganito yung anak nila! Kailangan sila ni Fate yet they are nowhere to be found. They are so selfish.

Fate just wanted to have a parents whom she could count on and can call. A parents who will just stayed by her side but they didn't do it. Umalis pa sila. Cristina kept on pushing and whining. William didn't do anything.

As soon as we get in I asked the staff where room she is in and when I saw her lying on a bed surrounding with machines, I lost it. I just cried and cried. I begged to God that why it has to be her. All her life she just wanted to be happy with her parents even though she lost her two siblings. She wanted to live I know that.

"Are you the mother of the patient?"

"I am not but I am her guardian. Is she okay Doc? Please do something." I almost fell pleading to him.

"You know Ms. Santos condition. Magpapakatotoo na po ako sainyo, she is not getting better. Lumalala lang po siya Ms. Nakausap ko na rin yung Dr niya and nung una ayaw niya magpagamot, right? But did you know? She pleaded to him, but sad to say hindi na pwede. Masyado na pong malala ang condition niya. Milagro na lamang po ang magpapagaling sakanya." Gusto kong magalit sakanya. Na bakit ganon? Walang chance? Buhay pa siya eh!!! May pag asa pa.

"Doc, she is still alive and that means pwede pa diba? Kakayanin niya Doc please."

And when the Dr. slowly shook his head I cried harder.
