Approximately 20 years ago, Tyler MacMillan and Kate Sinclair were married in Hawaii, amongst their happy families and friends, on a sunset beach. Among the commotion, the priest asked them, "Tyler Taiyo MacMillan, do you take Kate Vlamaro Sinclair to be your lawfully wedded wife?" and they both said at the same time, "I do.", and Kate blushed while the family giggled. "Well, you two are now married, and you may now kiss the bride," the priest said, containing his laughter, and the two kissed, sealing their future. "I would like to toast my fierce, lovely, and adorable wife here today," Tyler said, and cheers and "Awww!"s erupted from the benches.
At the reception, it was a glorious time for all. Everyone enjoyed the dinner made by the groom with the bride's help. "You guys made a great meal!" Kate's best friend and bridesmaid Jazzy smiled. "Only the best." Tyler smiled. "That it is." Jazzy smiled.
Once dinner was done, dessert was brought out. It was a cookie tower. "Did she seriously pick a cookie tower?" Mrs. MacMillan mock-whispered to Kate's mom, Ms. Bowen. "Well, she is a cookie monster." Ms. Bowen chuckled. "Or as she would say, 'I'm not a cookie monster!' in a whiny voice," Cheessica mimicked Kate from across the table. "Sounds like her," Nick agreed. "I guess it's fair since Tyler picked dinner," Mrs. MacMillan noted. "I wonder if they made the cookies too?" Ms. Bowen wondered. "Excellent question, Reina," Mrs. MacMillan acknowledged. "Thanks, Akira." Ms. Bowen smiled. "You could just look on the menu, dear." Kate's step-father, Mr. Clueton butted in, passing one to the two moms. "And women like them call us men oblivious, huh Nero?" Mr. MacMillan chuckled. "I agree, Mark." Mr. Clueton chuckled too.
Just as the parents and siblings made those remarks, the bride and groom sailed in with their cat and introduced it as the guest star, to which everyone, including the grannies and the kids, had a laughing fit.
