Overdrive Tcat! Not good, Kate! Kate thought frantically as she scrambled for an idea of how to help him, given the parameters. She then dodged to the side as Tyler shot a blast of flame at her from the palm of his hand, and he actually tried to miss. Kate then cast a spell sending Jazzy into the book to save her. "Now what?" Kate frantically asked Nick and Missouri. "Um, do any of you have any light spells? That may save him," suggested Seth from behind them, his fists glowing white. "Missouri is limited in magic use like Jasmine. And reminder, I have dark magic like you," Kate said. "Why again do you have dark magic?" Seth asked. "Explain later," Kate answered as she did a light spell at Tyler's face, blinding him momentarily. Missouri nodded at Kate, who threw her a magic rope end and the two tied him up, using it. Then, Kate cast another spell but on the rope, and the rope was to paralyze him. "Yididididididididididididaaaaah!" Tyler grunted out. "Now! Shining Flare!" Kate casted, and Seth made a hand gesture like a pyramid. "Solar Nexus!!" he casted, and Tyler cried in pain. His form faded away slowly, and the two poured their all into the spell, speeding up the process. Once they finished, Tyler fainted, yet he was normal again.

"We did it!" They all cheered. "I feel like I'm going to faint." Kate said feeling woozy. "Why? Are you okay?" Seth asked as he and Missouri helped Tyler wake up. "I did light magic," Kate answered before fainting with Tyler simultaneously waking up. "Owowowowowowow, what happened?" Tyler moaned, then noticed Kate knocked out. "Kate! Wake up!" he said, not sure if she was ok. "Hey, she knocked herself out trying to save your stupid ass," Seth remarked. "She did light magic. She is just suffering the aftereffects of her spells," Missouri explained, and Tyler facepalmed. He knew she couldn't do light magic without a consequence, but she would never explain why. "Missouri and Seth, thank you for helping to save my ass. I wish I could repay you all somehow," Tyler said, his head bowed. "Maybe just helping Lee would be sufficient enough so that way, she can use light magic without consequences," Missouri suggested. "How do you suggest I do that?" he asked, and Seth spoke up. "Uh, if I may? This is getting boring. Can we this down write as well?" he said, and they looked at him weirdly. "What? I like writing?!" Seth said, throwing his arms up. "It's a good idea, actually," Tyler mused and summoned paper and pencil. They then heard some moaning and whirled around to see Kate struggling to wake up. Rushing over to catch her, Tyler supported her and kissed her.

Meanwhile in the background, Jazzy got the kids and Alex out of the book. After, Jazzy and her family went to get dinner, leaving everyone in their living room. "Aunt Jazz? Where are my parents?" Jackson asked her sweetly. "Just over there," Jazzy directed the kids to their parents, where they rushed over to Kate in a flurry.

In her mind, Kate was experiencing a fog of sight. "Why's everything so blurry?" she asked and her glasses were elsewhere. "Does she need her glasses?" Seth asked, confused. "Well, she did wake up out of a daze, so..." Tyler trailed off as he found her glasses and handed them to her. She put them on and still looked around, confused. "Why is everything blurry, still? I don't need my glasses," she said. "Has she had...a concussion?" Tyler asked Missouri, now worried. "No, she shouldn't. If anything, she probably is still suffering from using light magic," Missouri answered, and his face paled. "How do I fix it?" he gritted out. "I'm not sure," Missouri answered unsure. "There's two cures depending on the curse on her causing this, and she is on the verge of dying because of magic overload...I don't know that one," Seth explained.

"Wait. What?!" Tyler nearly shouted, and even Kate jumped. "It's the first, Seth. The second isn't due yet, but will happen soon," Kate said weakly. "I promise that I will save you, kitten," Tyler swore. Kate smiled. "Thanks. It's part of the curse Seth mentioned," Kate informed. "Hikari! Jyouketsu!" Tyler casted, and nothing happened. "Was something supposed to happen?" Seth whispered to Missouri. "I think so," Missouri whispered back. "Hikari! Fukkatsu!" he casted, and a weak light shone from her, indicating that he was getting closer. "What're you doing Tyler, that hurts?" Kate said, holding back tears, but it was evident that she was going to cry. "Kate, I am reviving you, and I am getting closer to the right spell," he reassured, kissing her feverish face. "I can't breathe." She gasped for air, and at that moment Tyler noticed it was his spelling causing that. "Oh no...help!" he cried. "Just stop the spell," she said before fainting. Stopping the spell suddenly, he looked to the others for help, unsure now of what to do. "Guys, help me! I have no idea what to do here! Missouri!" he pleaded. "I never have experienced!" Missouri fretted. "What about Melody?" Seth asked. "She's practically Lee or sorta is her. It may work," Missouri said, confused. Teleporting their kids over, Carolily ran over to her mom. "Mommy! Mommy!" Carolily cried. "What happened to Mom?" Jackson asked upset to Tyler. "Your mom passed out from trying to save me," he said darkly. "I thought Mom was very powerful and this couldn't happen to you or her," Jackson said, confused. "Son, unfortunately, I was overtaken by a dark force. Your mom paid the price to save me," he gritted out. "She should have used light magic. She tells us it's the safest magic for us to use for when we do magic." Jackson said. "She even says Dark magic is not a good trait to learn," Hikari piped up. "Your mom is a person who uses Dark-type most of the time, kids. She doesn't want you three to follow in her path of pain," Seth said from the corner.
