I Missed You (O2L fanfiction)

Chapter 16

Cayli's POV 

I fell into the water. It felt as if I was frozen in time. The water was pretty cold considering it was August. I opened my eyes when I hit the water and tried to keep myself under the water. I wanted to do this. I stayed under for about 30 seconds and was slowly falling into a deep sleep. 

All of a sudden, I felt arms rap around me and pull me up. I didn't have the strength to fight it off. I was barely even conscious.  

Kian's POV 

I was looking for Cayli since we couldn't find her anywhere. I was walking along the beach and something caught my eye. I saw a girl with long red hair running off the pier. I rushed over and saw some shoes and a phone in the sand. I realized that girl was Cayli. Oh my gosh. I quickly took my shoes off and jumped into the water after Cayli. 

I was searching for her with my arms when I finally found her body. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her out of the water. I got her in the sand and she was barely breathing. I called Sam. 

S- Hello?

K- Hey. ummm I just saved Cayli from killing herself. You need to get to the beach asap. I need help. 

S- On my way. 

Thank God. While I was waiting for Sam to arrive, I was trying to pump the water out of her chest. I tried giving her mouth to mouth but nothing was working. She had totally stopped breathing. 

About 20 seconds after that, Sam showed up. He tried giving her mouth to mouth. By this point, we were both sobbing. I called 911 and told them what was happening. By the time I hung up, Sam and got her breathing again. She was couching up water and just looked at us weird.

I went over to her and hugged her, but not too hard. Sam did the same.

Finally the ambulance showed up and carried her to the hospital. I called the guys to tell them what was happening while we were on the way to the hospital in the back of the ambulance.

Sam's POV 

My baby sister almost died. How could I have let this happen? I was trying so hard to make her better but apparently I wasn't really helping that much. We are currently in the back of the ambulance that's taking us to the hospital.

When we arrived, we all got out of the ambulance and rushed into the emergency room. Me and Kian waited in the waiting room while they rushed her away.

10 minutes later, all the guys, Jenn, Andrea, and Lia showed up. I was to the point where I was bawling my eyes out so everyone was trying to comfort me, trying to tell me that it would be fine. That she would be fine.

Emilie showed up about 5 minutes after the guys and girls did. Kian must've texted her. She came over to me and brought me into a big hug. I just cried loudly into her chest. She was rubbing my back when I heard, "Cayli Pottorff's family?" I ran over to the doctor.

  "Cayli will be fine. She has to stay in the hospital for a couple more hours then she will be free to go. She is a very lucky girl to have survived. IF you weren't there, she would've died." He paused. "You may go see her now but be careful. She's in utter complete shock. Room 142." I thanked him and ran to her room. I heard all the guys footsteps behind me so I just kept running unill I found her room. 

I took a deep breath and went in. 

Cayli's POV

I woke up and there were doctors surrounding me. I looked around and I was in a hospital room. Dang. Can't a girl kill herself without being saved? 

One of the doctors said, "We are going to send in your family and friends. Okay?" I just nodded and they walked out the door. 

About 30 seconds later, Sam came running through the door. I wasn't ready for all the questions. He came over to me and sat in the chair beside me. His eyes were bloodshot, his face was red, and he kept sniffling. I felt so bad. 

Soon after that, the rest of the gang came walking in. I could tell they've all been crying. Goodness gracious. 

Kian came over and rubbed my head. He started crying when we made eye contact. 

"Guys.." I said, quietly. They looked at me and I felt under pressure. 

"None of this is your fault. But I would rather not talk about why I did it. I don't want to talk about it at all." I said, looking at all of them. 

"We're gonna have to talk about it sometime." Trevor said. I wasn't in the mood for his crap. I got really pissed and started screaming at him. 

"YA KNOW, PART OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT! YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW WHY I DID THIS TREVOR! DON'T ACT SO STUPID!!" I screamed at him. He looked at me and looked like he was about to cry. Oh well. He deserves it. 

"I'm sorry Cayli. I never meant to to hurt you." He said with sympathy. I just shrugged it off while all they guys were staring at me like they've seen a ghost. 

"What?" I asked. They all just turned away from me. I looked at Sam who was being very quiet. 

"I love you Sam. You know that right? You're the best brother anyone could ask for. This isn't your fault. You tried to help me but it just wan't working. But you tried. And that means the world to me. Know that okay?" I said, looking into his eyes. 

He nodded and said, "I know Cayli. But I can't help feeling this is my fault.... I couldn've stopped you somehow an-" 

"No you couldn't have. Something set me off and I would've done this no matter what you said. This is NOT your fault." I said. HE just nodded and cried into my hand that he was holding. I layed my head back and fell asleep to the sound of crying.
