Chapter 2

"Red doesn't look to bad on you guys." Mark said as Jaehyun and Johnny entered the dinning area of the dorms, sporting their deep red Upper School blazers. Mark was wearing his navy blue blazer, the one belonging to Lower School students.

"Upper school is weird." Johnny said as they began eating their bowls if cereal.

"What do you mean?" Mark asked.

"You spend your days with one of the teachers, helping them with their research, your only break being when they teach class." Johnny told him.

"Who are you paired with?" Mark asked the older males.

"I'm with Yuta." Johnny told him. They turned to Jaehyun for his answer but the male was completely spaced out.

"Jaehyun?" Mark said, waving a hand in front of his face.

"Huh?" Jaehyun said, snapping out of his trance.

"Which teacher are you paired with?" Mark asked again.

"Oh, Taeyong." Jaehyun answered, swirling his spoon in the bowl of cereal.

Johnny and Mark exchanged looks, both sensing that something was off with their friend.

"It's weird seeing Chenle in the halls." Jiwoo said to Jeno as the two of them entered their homeroom class. The two took their seats behind Rena and Jaemin while Haechan and Renjun sat in front of them.

"I agree, I need to get used to hearing his dolphin laugh in this building." Jeno replied, pulling out his books. Jiwoo noticed that most of the room was full. She tapped Rena on the shoulder.

"Where's Yangyang?" Jiwoo asked as Rena turned around.

"I don't know, but there's a spare seat beside Hyemi when he comes." Rena told her. Jiwoo shuddered at the name. Song Hyemi was another faerie, former best friends with Naeun until she dropped out. Jiwoo found both of them extremely annoying.

Eventually, Yangyang entered, looking around for a seat. His eyes reached the empty seat in the row beside Jiwoo, but frowned when he noticed who he had to sit beside.

Jiwoo gave the sprite an encouraging smile as he sat down beside Hyemi. She quickly pulled out her phone to send him a text.

Jiwoo heard Yangyang's phone buzz on his desk. He gave the faerie a small smile as he read the message before putting his phone in his pocket as the teacher entered. The agents in the class had their mouths wide opened as they greeted their teacher.

"Hello class, I am Mr. Nakamoto. I will be teaching you Traditions of the Supernatural, and will be your homeroom teacher for this year." Yuta said, giving his students a smile.

"Wow, he's good looking." Jiwoo heard Hyemi mutter. She rolled her eyes. Yuta must have heard too as he let out a small laugh.

"Let's open up our textbooks to page 15 and talk about the importance of katanas in Kitsune culture." Yuta directed the class.

...

"Here's your office." Taeyong said, showing Jaehyun his new office. All leaders of the the agency had their own offices in the agency building, allowing them to better focus on their work.

"Thanks." Jaehyun set, settling his stuff down. Taeyong entered behind him, closing the door.

"You're out of it." Taeyong said to him. Jaehyun just sat silently at his desk.
