How Jaemin ended up here, he couldn't quite describe it. He only knew that he had one goal, don't get caught.
He followed the siren into the warehouse, recalling his activities for the past few days.
...
After staying at Ten's place for a day for the Academy to clear, Jaemin was back in the H.I.D.D.E.N.'s building, at the lowest floor. There were no guards there that day on purpose, so when he held the key in his hands, opening up a cell that was meant to be closed, he threw a bottle of water down at the siren laying there, half-dead.
"What do you want from me?" The siren asked him.
"Drink, and then we'll talk." Jaemin said. The siren hesistated before taking the bottle from the floor. Jaemin watched as he sniffed the before putting it to his lips, drinking as if his life depended on it.
I mean, in a way, it does. Jaemin thought just as the siren finished, the colour finally returning to his skin. The siren stood up, staring at him in the eyes.
"Where's the girl?" The siren asked.
"Dead." Jaemin lied. Although she was probably so broken from their break up that she might as well be dead.
"And the guards?"
"I dealt with them." Jaemin said, another lie. But the siren seemed satified enough with his answers.
"What do you want then?" The siren asked, hands on his hips.
"I heard you were working on the creation of shapeshifters." Jaemin said. The siren looked him up and down.
"We don't need some boy ruining our plans." The siren said, scoffing.
Jaemin took a step forward, letting his eyes flash red. The siren stepped back.
"I'm not some boy." Jaemin said, making the siren gulp. Jaemin lifted the keys in his hands. "Plus, I think you need my help unless you want to stay here forever."
The siren let out a deep sigh before nodding his head.
"Fine, I'll take you there. Just get me out of here." The siren said. Jaemin smirked as he walked out of the cell, leading the siren to an underground path that would take them just outside the neighbourhood of the Academy, created just for his solo mission.
...
"We're back." Jaemin called out, putting down the plastic bag full of blood bags from the hospital he had raided. The vampires came out, taking one each and quickly slurping.
Jaemin was glad that his father had kept him under a low profile, otherwise, his cover would have been completely blown by now.
"Where's the ambrosia?" A faerie asked, her hands on her hips. Jaemin shrugged.
"I don't know, if you wanted it, you should have gotten it yourself." Jaemin said, glaring at the faerie. Faerie rolled her eyes before settling for a can of soda.
"Stop bickering, I have good news." The siren said as he took a seat.
"About time." The faerie mumbled before sitting as well.
"I found a witch, she'll be coming tomorrow." The siren told them.
"It needs to be a powerful witch, not just some old regular one." One of the vampires said.
"Oh trust me, I know." The siren said, a sinister grin on his face.
...
That night as Jaemin laid in his bed in a small room of the warehouse, a wave of uneasiness spread through him. He had given Jaehyun all the updates he could before wiping everything from his phone like he had done every night since he had helped the siren escape. For some reason, he had this bad feeling that he would get caught eventually.
Jaemin put the phone down, lying on the uncomfortable mattress, willing himself to sleep.
...
Jaemin was sharpening his knife when the siren poked his head into his room.
"Come down, she's here." The siren told her.
"I'll be there in a second." Jaemin replied, placing the knife back into the holster in his belt. He walked down the stairs to see the back of woman with a familiar figure. As he stood to join the others across from her, he realized why.
The lady with them was Sora's mother.
"Fancy seeing you here." Sora's mother snickered. The siren looked around.
"Who?"
Sora's mother lifted a finger, pointing straight at Jaemin. "Him."
"Do you know him?" The faerie asked, clearly impatient. Sora's mother threw her head back, laughing.
"So you're telling me that you had a H.I.D.D.E.N. agent in here the entire time and you didn't know?"
Crap.
And just like that, Jaemin had never felt more alone.
...
Jaehyun looked at his phone, waiting for a message from Jaemin. He checked the time. Jaemin normally sends an update around now. Jaehyun thought.
Johnny entered the room, staring at Jaehyun as he sensed the uneasiness from his friend. "What's wrong."
Jaehyun lifted his phone. "No update from Jaemin."
"He could be busy you know. Give it a few days." Johnny said.
And so Jaehyun did. He waited for days, which became weeks, which became months. Yet that update never came.
Jaehyun bit his lip as he dialed Taeyong's number, dreading the words that were about to escape his lips.
"Hey, what's up Jaehyun?" Taeyong asked as he picked up the phone.
"Hyung, I've lost touch with Jaemin." Silence.
"What?" Taeyong exclaimed. Jaehyun gulped.
"Jaemin he's... He's alone now."
