'Hey, you okay today?' Holly asked worriedly as Ryleigh walked in the bakery all groggy and dazed.

Looking up at Holly with her sleepy eyes, Ryleigh stretched her arms and answered slowly, 'I got a text from my dad and...' Ryleigh paused to yawn, leaving Holly in suspense, which made Holly smack her on the arm.

'Ouch!' Ryleigh exclaimed.

'Cut to the chase!' Holly urged.

'Okay, my dad proposed to Kate and his wedding is this Sunday.' Ryleigh said, her voice carrying her a hint of despair.

Holly cocked her head and looked at her with a questioning look on her face. 'Um...congratulations?'

'Holly, Kate is a horrible person!' Ryleigh shouted in exasperation. 'She hates me and she's going to be my stepmother! I stayed up for the whole of last night trying to come up with excuses to not go!' Ryleigh groaned.

Holly put an arm on Ryleigh's shoulder and comforted her. 'Hey, weddings are fun. And if you really don't want to go, just say you're ill or something.'

'I can't Holly...Kate requested for me to be her bridesmaid.' Ryleigh let out another groan.

'Well that means she must like you a little bit to ask for you to be her bridesmaid.' Holly remarked confidently.

'Please, she probably only did it because my dad made her.' Ryleigh said doubtfully.

'Well...'Holly was cut off my Mr. Dudley's loud, threatening stomps into the bakery.

'5! 4! 3! 2! 1!'He barked out as everyone scampered to join the line.

'Good morning, sir.' Everyone chorused.

Still as cross as two sticks despite the cheerful greeting, Mr.Dudley roared, 'Listen to me!' He took a pause to scowl at every single person, giving them his signature deathly glare. 'The same customer is getting married this Sunday!' Ryleigh grumbled something unintelligible, sick of hearing about the 'lovely' marriage between her father and Kate.

'Head Chef! Do you have a problem?' Mr. Dudley said dryly.

'No sir.' Ryleigh controlled herself from rolling her eyes. It has been 3 months and Mr. Dudley still had no idea of the correlation between his customer and Ryleigh.

'The bride has a few requests on the cake. She wants a 12 tier cake, each tier being a 4 layer cake because it's her favoutite number.' Mr. Dudley announced. Holly's jaw dropped at the request.

'Mr. Dudley, is that even possible? I mean the cake would either end up extremely lop-sided or it would collapse when she cuts into it!' Ryleigh voiced her concerns.

Ignoring Ryleigh's words, Mr. Dudley continued, 'She has chosen the flavours for each tier and the flavour of frosting she wants between each tier.'

'You have to be kidding me.' Ryleigh said and was met by a glare from Mr. Dudley.

Going on with his announcement, Mr. Dudley said, 'The first tier will be a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. The second tier will be a rose, poppy seed and lemon cake with lemon buttercream. The third tier will be a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. The fourth tier will be a carrot cake also with a cream cheese frosting. The fifth tier will be an orange cake with chocolate frosting. The sixth tier will be a vanilla funfetti cake with buttercream.'

'Geez, is this ever going to end.' Jacob said, shaking his head.

Mr. Dudley glowered at him and raised his voice to a thunderous volume, 'The seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth cake tier be a repeat of the first six tiers!'
