Setting their trays down on the end of a table, the trio sat down and began chatting.
Y/N quickly found out that Eddy is VERY curious and EXTREMELY excitable. Just like a cute puppy.
"Y/N you said you come from California right? Why'd you move here?" Eddy asked the question but Y/N could see Brett's ears perk up, as if interested to hear the answer.
"Well uh you know how it is, parents divorce etc. Don't wanna bore you with details..." Y/N quickly changed the subject, "How long have you two known each other?"
Putting his arm around Brett, Eddy exclaimed "Like FOREVER dude. We've been best bros since 3rd grade."
"More like I just couldn't shake you and resigned myself to this fate" Brett deadpanned.
"HEY! Don't listen to this tsundere, he loves me."
Y/N ducked her head to hide her chuckle at their antics. "You two seem more like brothers," she sighed wistfully. "I wish I had someone to bond with like that"
"You don't have any siblings?" this was the first time Brett asked a question.
"I do! I have a brother who's older than me but he's still in California, finishing up his contract with the LA Symphony. He's an amazing cellist!" she didn't notice the bright smile that adorned her face when mentioning her brother.
"Seems like you two are pretty close, huh? When's he coming to Australia?" Eddy didn't miss the way Y/N's smile fell when he asked the question.
"I'm not really sure, he's busy with his performances and rehearsals so he doesn't have time to call me." a gloomy air settled over Y/N.
"Don't worry Y/N, we are going to substitute your brother till he rejoins you. Isn't that right Brett?" Eddy nudged Brett.
"Yeah, sure thing." Brett gave Y/N a tiny grin which she returned.
"Thanks guys. I was worried I wouldn't be able to make friends here but y'all are frikkin awesome."
"You know it" Eddy shot a wink at her, making her laugh and roll her eyes.
The rest of the lunch break was pretty much Eddy asking questions and Brett commenting every now and then.
The bell rung, signaling the beginning of 5th period.
"What class do you have Y/N?" Eddy inquired while putting his tray away.
"I think I have biology next"
"Darn, we don't have 5th together then... OH WAIT, Brett! You have bio 5th right?"
Brett nodded, "Yup I do"
"Great! Then you can show Y/N the way. Bye besties, gotta run!" Eddy ran away but not before flashing a peace sign at them.
Laughing at Eddy's silliness, the pair made their way to biology.
