Seated next to Alex. Staring straight ahead at the old man. "I want you both to understand that this is a safe environment for the both of you to express your feelings without judgement but respect for each other's feelings along with answers and solutions" the man says, "the one thing I think it is important for us to establish is that anger is okay, it is acceptable because at the end we have come here to find a way to move forward from what happened while maintaining a healthy relationship" he says....
Attending the therapy sessions for the next 4 weeks everything seemed to get better, Alex had begun his physiotherapy and seemed to be recovering slowly but surely, however I still had not moved back home.
Watching him in proudness as the woman slightly lifts his leg, groaning out as she pushed it back, "where is the discomfort?" She asks, pointing in between his thigh and the top of his foot, smiling looking over to me, "he's getting some feeling back" she says, smiling at her words as the session went on.
Seated in the restaurant. The therapist had suggested random lunches and dinner to bring the spark back, for us to converse in a light environment. "I'm proud of the progress you making" I smile, "yeah well as long as I'm not on this thing in a few months" he shrugs. Taking a bite of my food, "Gattina" he calls out making me look up at him, "when do you think you will be ready to come back home?" He questions. Sighing at his words, "I'm not sure, but soon" I say giving him a tight smile.
