Nico di Angelo POV

Nico was so dead. His dad was going to kill me. His job was to find all the spirits who escaped through the doors of death, and one had found Percy and the six. They would never let him take her back, ever.

Not after Leo.

Leo had died a few months back during the battle with Gaea. Piper and Jason had refused to accept his death. He had tried to help them accept it but they wouldn't.

Nico had been searching for this one for some time. She had somehow gotten out of Elysium into Tarturus and out the doors of death. She had survived the second destruction.

The first had been centuries ago. Sun flares had sickened the earth and the population. The immunes had survived and repopulated the earth.

Then the earth had been corrupted again, this time by human nature. The government had tried to edit human genes. They ended up damaging them. That ended in war. The government had tried to undo there mistake and ended up right back where they started.

Only Hades and his children knew this. The other gods erased there own memories. Hades children had to know this in case one of the survivors died and escaped. Tris was one of these.

So was Thomas and Minho.

Ironicly the next destruction was schedule in a week or so. Apollo was pretty vague, Nick was still waiting for the next great prophecy, there always was a way out. If The Right Arm hadn't burned down W.I.C.K.E.D. they would have been able to cure the flare.

Weirdly enough Thomas, Minho, and Tris had all escaped the same month. The same month Max and the rest of the flock escaped the school. The same month Leo died.

Time to find the munies.
