Finally

"Hi"

I couldn't tell whether this decision would end well or not. Would she even recognize me?
She looks down at me with her eyes that looked like sparkling pools of honey. Her eyes lit up.
"Hey!..You were at that party right? The one a couple days ago at Landon's house?"
Her voice left me dumbfounded.
"I'm Annagrace but everyone calls me Ag"
"Uhh yea! I'm Alexxa. Weren't you talking to.. umm.. Olivia? She's in my AP U.S. History class." I searched for something to talk about, to keep the conversation going. I wasn't throwing away my shot.

"Oh yea! She used to play basketball with me. Do you go to North Lockhart?"She remarked with her eyes kind and the corners of her mouth turned up into a smile.
"Yea..
"It's weird, I've never seen you around at school... Here! Put your Snap in my phone" she handed me her phone. I typed my username into the search bar and pressed add.
"Alright cool! Well... i'm not doing anything later, so do you wanna hangout?" She questioned.

Okay Lex, nows your time. Get out of your own head and hang out with her. This is the moment you've been waiting for. Stop being weird.
"Uhh Yea sure! I just have to finish getting some stuff for my mom."
Before I knew it, she was grocery shopping alongside me. We talked and got to know each other. Walking through the grocery store with her somehow felt magical.
"So, who are you, what are you about. Like what's your story?" I asked the tall girl.
"Well, I was born in New Mexico and I've moved a lot throughout my life. Like I lived in Arizona and Kentucky.. My friends are like the most important thing in the world to me, I just feel so myself around them. I'm a senior. I play basketball, point guard. Um... I just got out of a relationship with my ex-girlfriend"
Oh. So she likes girls.
"So you're gay?" I confirmed.
"Yep."

Wow this girl- There's just something about her I can't even begin to describe.
We neared the checkout section and I took care of Mom's groceries and paid.
Ag and I walked out of the store, grocery bags in hand. She waited for me to load the groceries in the trunk of my car. What am I gonna tell Mom?

"So I was thinking we could go to this pretty field of yellow flowers I found the other day?" She seemed so excited, I couldn't possibly say no. I got so caught up and jumped in her car, completely forgetting about my own car and the groceries inside it.
Thinking back, I probably shouldn't have gotten into the car of someone I just met. Oh well, sue me.

After blasting music in the car, which is odd because Ag and I have the same exact music taste, we find the field that Ag was so excited about. It was breathtaking.
I hop out of the car and run into the field of yellow flowers. Ag follows and tackles me from behind, leaving us both on the ground laughing hysterically.
"Can you take a picture of me for my instagram?" She asked.
"Sure, but you have to take pictures for me too" I smiled and so did she as she nodded.
Ag picked a couple of flowers to hold in the pictures and posed artfully. I showed them to her and we continued until we were both satisfied with our pictures.

Time had passed, it was now around 10 o'clock in the night. Ag and I both lay on our backs next to each other looking up at the stars having a mindless conversation. My eyes shifted from the twinkling stars and over to her twinkling eyes. My eyes stayed fixated on her facial features, observing every curve and line. I was in pure bliss. It hadn't felt like we had met only a couple hours ago in a grocery store, I felt like I knew this girl my whole life, like I could tell her anything. It felt like fate had brought us together.
She turns her head and notices my staring at her.
"Yess?"
I quickly gasp and turn my head away and back up at the stars.
"No it's okay.." she said.
With her hand outreached, she pulls my chin toward her locking us both in a longing stare we both knew too well. My eyes didn't dare to dart away from hers. No words were spoken but somehow I could tell exactly how she felt.
All of a sudden, my phone rang causing us both to flinch in shock. I quickly sprang toward my phone and answered it.

It was Mom.
"Alexxa? Where are you?!"

Oh shit.
