So as you may know, i'm disabled. i had to stay in a really big hospital for two weeks to do physiotherapy, of course being disabled lead to some issues at school so here are a few:

My PE teachers

My PE teachers were shit, no other way about it, i was permanently signed out of PE due to having physiotherapy at home every night and the fact i can't do what was expected. So for ages they refused to let me off, then when they finally agreed, some teachers didn't believe i was disabled, a few were like ok we get that, it's fine and let me off but two teachers really stand out.

The first one always made me get changed and set up equipment which ended up with me in a lot of pain anyway. Getting changed was always horrible because i can't lift my shoulders over my head without a lot of pain. This teacher would try and give me detentions but i never turned up. On my last week of school he tried to again and after arguing about it for a bit i basically shouted at him and left.

This other teacher respected the fact i was signed out of PE, not at first, at first he would still make me set up and change and shit, then my mum came into the school and explained. The reason this teacher stood out is because he refused to believe i was disabled, he was convinced i had an injury. every lesson it was 'why isn't your injury healed?' or 'how's the injury?'

Adaptions

So in my lessons there had to be adaptions to help me. one of these was i had to use a laptop in my lessons. This was never fully implemented. In fact for the whole of year 8 i didn't use it at all. they refused to put any of it in place. Another thing they did this with was the fact i can barely go up stairs. They had no lift so i ended up going up stairs a lot.

My form tutor

This is a happy one. My form tutor for y8 was the best, he always helped me, even though he can't get me a laptop or anything he got me pens that were better for my writing, printed stuff to help with my pain and anxiety and he was honestly the biggest help i ever had. Sadly he wasn't my y9 form tutor cause he left the school to work else where but he was honestly the biggest help i ever got.
