"John Lennon, a legend in music who changed the world, has survived his brutal attack from Mark David Chapman. Here today, we have an exclusive recording, premission given by John Lennon himself, to go into the courtroom and see the trial."

I watched from the rows as John walked up to the testimony booth necjudge. My heart raced in my chest when I saw Chapman walk in front of me, he looked over at me, and his lips curled into a sickened smirk.

I felt someone take my hand and I looked over to see Paul. Looking at me  with comfort within his eyes. We both looked back at the judge.

"All rise." The officer called out, and we all stood. My heart racing with every single movement I made.

"Case number #259250, Lennon vs Chapman, now presiding Judge Dennis Edwards. Parties have been sworn in, you may be seated." The man adds.

Paul, George, Ringo and I sat down in unison, Patty, Linda and Maureen on my left as the boys were on my right.

  "Mr Lennon." The judge started.

"Please, your honour, excuse my interruption, but, please call me John." John comments, the judge nods, not even making a remark.

"John, what do you remember of the night Mr Chapman came to you?" The judge asked, I looked over at John. Was I ready to hear this?

  |John's POV|

I walked down the street from the bar, Yoko and I finishing a night out. But, I couldn't help but think of Cynthia and Julian, guilt washed over me as I realized that I was never there. God, what was I doing?

"John, you alright, love?" Yoko gracefully put a hand on my shoulder. I looked down to her and gave a fake smile.
  "I'm fine, Yoko. Promise."
As we walked to the front of our apartment, fans started to surround us. I felt joy in my body as I saw all the fans that had been supporters.
I gave a small wave, and as I started to walk in, I was stopped by a man.

"Mr Lennon, my daughter is a huge fan of yours, I was wondering if you could give me an autograph, for her sake? She really would love it."

I furrowed my eyebrows, this man surely looked too young to have a child. I shrugged and took out my pen, signing a picture of myself.

Before I could blink, I felt a shooting pain within my chest. I gasped for air, hearing screams all around me. I looked up to see the man, holding a gun to me.

"Sorry Mr Lennon, I don't mean to. Just, you should've never said what you did in 1969."

I growled as I felt my vision get blurry. "You.. bastard!" I exclaimed before feeling another bullet in my chest. My vision started to fade, and everything went black.

"Then, everything just went dark. Next thing, I'm woken up in a hospital, my chest sown shut, and.. you know the rest." John finished.

"Cyn, you alright?" I looked over at Paul who wiped a tear from my eye.
"He shot my husband, in the middle of the damn street." I whispered, angry.
"Cyn, keep calm. Moment we get out of here, I'll let you take your frustrations out on me. Or.. you and John can go do something." I couldn't help but smile at Paul's joke.

After the presentation of evidence, John was given a chance to talk.

"Normally, I don't say anything damming to anyone. But, I will say this to you. You are a sickened man, I thought you were a good man, no. You were willing to deprive a man from his family. To make my wife and my sons suffer! You said you had a daughter, and that may or may not be true, I don't give a damn what it is, but, I'm glad you're here. You don't deserve the life you got. Rot in hell, Chapman."

John was soon excused, and he sat down next to me, pulling me close into his chest. We both looked up, watching the judge.

"Well, I think I am ready to make my verdict, but first, jury, what is your judgement?" The judge asked, looking over at the crowd of people.

"Your honour, we find the defendant, Mark David Chapman, as for the charge of attempted assassination and homicide, we find Chapman, guilty." A woman spoke.

"Then, as a judge of the united states of america, I hereby sentence you, Mark David Chapman, to half of forty years to prison. As you hit forty, at 10:58 central time, you shall be executed by electric chair. Court is adjourned, and Mr Lennon, God bless you sir, you and your family." He nods before heading to his chambers.

All of us stood up and walked out of the courthouse, paparazzi flashing bright at us as we got into a car, that will take all of us home.

I felt my eyes get heavy as I leaned against John, yawning gently. I felt John wrap his arms around me, and I soon drifted off. Feeling no worries in the world.
