My mind raced as I made my way to my seat. Sitting down, I hid my face on my desk, wondering about what the heck just happened back there?! He looked so cute while doing it too! waitwaitwait- does he LIKE me?! or is he just playing with my feelings? siiiigh, I frowned at the thought, keeping my head down until class ended.

TIMESKIP

School ended, and I was at the gate waiting for Asahi. Still confuzzled by his actions earlier, causing me to fiddle with my hair. Then a voice called out to me, turning to where the sound was-

ASAHI'S POV

I stood there for a few seconds, watching (Y/N) play with her hair. Geez, how cute can she be?! I thought to myself. I stood there, lovestruck as I can be before calling out to her.

❛ (Y/N)! ❜ I called out, waving.

❛ A-Asahi!❜ she called out as well, waving shyly at my direction, and her face was... flushed? Maybe she was thinking of someone she likes, yeah, maybe.. I sighed in defeat before faking a smile.

❛ Let's go, yeah? ❜ I insisted, walking past her in a slight hurry.

❛ Is something.. wrong? ❜ She caught up to me, looking at me while she tilted her head.❛ No, nothing, really. ❜ I immediately replied.

❛ H-Hey, come on..❜ She tugged on my uniform, looking up at me with those puppy dog eyes. DAMN THOSE PUPPY DOG EYES- My face instantly flushed, seeing her like that.

Sighing, I finally spoke up, well kinda vague.

❛ (Y/N)? ❜

❛ Yeah? ❜ she answered, looking worried. ❛ Do you...uhm, like.. anyone? ❜ I mumbled, looking down at my feet while rubbing the back of my neck.

(Y/N)'S POV

I instantly blushed at his question. Like? Is he going to c-confess?! Oh, jeez! I- uh- shizticks. I pouted while responding in a whisper.

❛ Y-Yeah.. I do like this one.. guy. H-He's really great. ❜ I chuckled awkwardly, before looking up at Asahi, and the look on his face I just... I feel like I did something wrong.

❛ Really, huh? That's good. ❜ He replied in a monotone voice before starting to walk again, while I still held unto his uniform as we walked.

❛ You can tell me anything, you know that, right? I'll always be here for you. ❜ I said, tugging at his shirt to make him look at me. And his face from a few seconds ago just changed.

This one was quite.. warm, and fuzzy. Like the Asahi Azumane I knew. I smiled, as we continued to walk towards our houses. We talked about what happened during our little arguement.

We finally arrived to my house, and before saying goodbye, I gave his hand a quick squeeze and smiled, as if telling hin that I'd be here for any of his problems.

❛ (Y/N)! ❜ He called out once more, stopping me in my tracks.

❛ O-Oh, uh, yeah? ❜ I asked, slightly puzzled by his sudden action.

❛ Do you want to.. uhm.. h-hangout?? This weekend? P-Please? ❜ He squeaked as he requested for us to hangout. I was internally screaming for cripes sake. AAAAA WE'RE GONNA HANGOUT YESYESYES -

❛ I-uh- yeah! Of course! Yes pleaseroo! ❜ I replied awkwardly chuckling while swinging my arm like a madman. What the heck am I doing?! For fricks sake, I decided to fuck up now, huh?

He chuckled, seeing me all nervously like that before waving goodbye, smiling uncontrollably. I might actually have a chance.
