As soon as Kaine spoke, my heart began to race. I tapped my fingernails on the table of the booth and huffed out a long gust of air. "Say something Ava."
"Kaine, that's amazing. Whichever one you do id probably love." He smiled his enchanting smile and stared intently at me. "Do you know when Griffin is gonna go to school? He wasn't there today either?" Kaine rolled his eyes at sat back in the cushion of our seat. "No, and to be honest I could care less. I'm just thinking about the tours, it's crazy Av, and,"
My phone ringed, sending a vibrating chill through the hems of my jeans. I answered it with the third ring and stared at Kaine while I talked. "Hey Ava, there's Umm A COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP In THE MAIL!!!" My mom screamed through the speaker. "What?! Mom that's amazing! What college?" Kaine was talking to a waitress whose uniform hugged her curves, and her hair tickled her cleavage.
"Umm Berkley." I shrugged. "Mom just sit it in my bed I'm on my way." She grunted and ended the call. "Umm Kaine, I'll call you okay?" He nodded and continued to stare at the waitress.
~~At Home~~
The radio blared loudly beside me. I say at my desk with my pen in hand, filling out the form from Berkley. All of a sudden I heard a knock on my window, and when I turned, it was Griffin. My eyes bulged at the sight of him, I felt a lick of heat glaze over my body and I walked to the window to open it."Thanks, Umm nice room." He said deeply, glancing at my Fray posters. "How did you get to my house?"
"Joanna and I talked earlier." He plopped down on my bed and I just glanced at his piercing, wanting him so bad. "And she told you where my house was?" I asked, sitting beside him on my comforters. "I forced her too, Ava Berg I think I'm crushing on you." I bit hard on my lip and nodded sarcastically. "Would it be so absurd to say I think I am too, but I can't date you?"
"Would it be so absurd if I asked why?"
"Yes. Because if I told you I can't then you shouldn't try."
"Ava, you telling me to do something isn't gonna define my feelings."
"Then what will, because right now all I want is for you to," He grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him, his breath on my neck. "I like you Ava, oh and another thing so does someone else I know." I slipped my hand from his and shoved him. "Come to school tomorrow."
