Inko Midoriya and her husband were proud of their son, he had a mixture of both of their quirks and had a high intelligence, what more could parents ask for? The answer was a lot. Izuku was often forced to go to the park and socialize with the other children, even though he was fourteen. His father shoved countless job applications in his face, so he ended up being a part time librarians assistant, a part time baby sitter, and a night worker at a cat cafe five blocks away, which he had to travel to on bike. His mother enrolled him into a thrice a week singing class, as well as orchestra lessons and dancing recitals. He was a perfectly rounded child.
Perfection, however, comes at a cost.He never got angry. This was a blessing in his parents eyes, but a disability in the eyes of his peers. They talked about it often when they thought he wasn't around, being the perfect child he is, Izuku had magnificent hearing and overheard many of these conversations, but he was never bothered, it wasn't like they were outright making fun of him, nor were they interfering with his life. The one person who bothered him even slightly, was Katsuki Bakugo. His grades were always nipping at Izuku's heels, his performance in physical education was something to fear, and his social life was expanding constantly. When Izuku's parents heard about his problematic classmate, they were ecstatic. What better to keep their son motivated then a rival? So they met up with Bakugou's parents and they became friends quickly, though they disproved of Mitsuki's loud temper, they grew used to it after the first four months. They 'encouraged' their childrens' rivalry by adding Bakugo to all of Midoriya's extracurricular activities, and his jobs.
Eventually, they grew a mix of hatred and fear of the other. What will happen if they beat me? What will my parents do? How will my parents punish me? Will they punish me? In fear of these questions, Bakugo and Midoriya were always neck and neck. They tied a good ninety nine percent of the time, everybody in the school knew it, some even kept score. It was the first, and probably last, time this happened at Aldera Junior High, or the Aldera history in general, two perfect students that were always competing. The teachers were relieved that they didn't have to worry about those two seeing that they were on a high school level, in fact, they only remained in Aldera for the perfect attendance. This hyped up when people realized that they would get to know which high school both boys choose, this of course, meant betting.
"Settle you bets here! Aldera Junior High at lunch and after school activities! Choose your school!" The end of year lunches were a busy bustle, people shoving chase at the record keeper every second and the tally man needing to keep packs of chalk on them at a time.
"Yuuie! Bakugo has to go to Yuuie! There's no way he wouldn't go to the number one hero school!" shouted a kid who had joined the school a couple of months ago, everybody around him collectively sighed. He didn't know, it was expected, but still slightly annoying.
"Listen, what was your name?" said a boy with stretched eyes.
"Kirishima."
"Listen Kirishima, Bakugo and Midoriya aren't looking to become heroes. They aim for 'true' power, the government and media."
Kirishima had an opened mouth expression, "They don't want to be heroes? But it's super cool! I don't get it."
Takami (that's what i'm going to call him) just sighed again, "Neither do most of us, not really, but we all have a basic understanding, people like heroes, heroes are still controlled by the government, become the government you control the heroes, make things better for the heroes and the public you get liked, get liked by the public and the media is on your side, which leads to your name getting known and countless more possibilities."
Kirishima nodded his head with his eyes closed before bumping his fist against his hand, "So they want to be big?!"
"Basically."
"Finish off your bets folks! Final to last day! The biggest two are Yuuie and Shiketsu!"
"I gotta go, I still have to place my bet."
Kirishima waved at the now retreating student, "Thanks for the explanation!"
Unknown to them, a green and blond haired duo over heard this conversation, Izuku from the left side, Bakugo from the right. Both collectively thought 'If Yuuie is the biggest bet, and these students understand the basics, that must mean Yuuie has the highest chance to get me to the big top, which means he must know that too, so he'll aim for Yuuie, which means he won't be at Shiketsu, so we won't have to compete anymore. Not to mention the pros of Shiketsu, UA is close to being a pure hero school, I'll be forced into hero work the second they see my name. '
"I chose you, Shiketsu!" they whispered to themselves before marching off to the library to study for tomorrows finals. Izuku to the upstairs one that he claimed as 'his', and Bakugo to the downstairs one that he claimed.

"Today it's time to turn in your 'Plans for the future' " said the teacher as he shuffled through the papers, "but know you all want to be heroes." He threw the papers in the air, save for two.
"Which schools did Midoriya and Bakugo choose?! Tell us! Tell us!" the class shouted, not caring about their own papers.
Mr. Doitsu smiled as he lifted both papers into the air, "Midoriya and Bakugo have both been excepted into Shiketsu High!"
Midoriya and Bakugo looked at each other in shock. This wasn't supposed to happen, the other was supposed to choose Yuuie, they weren't supposed to be at the same school again, they weren't supposed to have to compete anymore. These thoughts traveled through their heads while the class around them was in chaos. The two smartest students in school, the two strongest students in school, were going to the same school! They would all be monitoring the media for the next years to see what the two would achieve, there was already a website (It was created the final year of middle school, Perfection News, it held a record of all of the ties, wins, losses, dancing competitions won, singing battles, artwork, gym records, everything that ever happened about those two. It had about two million subscribers, most being from the surrounding Providences and schools. Nezu himself had subscribed, which was a major popularity boost for the other heroes).
