I walked around the mansion looking for something in particular, the man with the burnt body, I saw him once and he's been on my mind ever since I came back here but I'm too scared to ask Zathrian about him. It's midday and the guys are off to work while Camilla and Amanda are off shopping

The girls are watching a movie, I'm just not interested in watching a movie

I want to meet the man again no one has mentioned him which leaves me very confused about why no one talks about him

I saw a maid exit a room that was further down the hall and went the opposite direction from where I was

I walked down the hall and entered the room, the guy was lying on the bed with the television on; he looked stronger and much better than when I first saw him

"Hi" I greeted with a soft smile

He slowly turned his head in my direction he looked at me for a while

"Whoo are y-you?" He asks with a strained voice, he has difficulty speaking.

"I'm Avyanna,  Zathrian's uh girlfriend" I told him his eyes widened upon hearing Zathrian's name

"I'm Derek," he says

"Nice to meet you, Derek,"  I say to him

"I-I've seen you be-fore," he struggles to talk

"I know," I told him

I saw him trying to reach a glass of water on the nightstand, they should have a bed tray for him so he can easily access the things he need

"I'll get it," I told him and picked up the water, there was a straw, and he used the straw to drink from the glass

"Thank you," he told me and I gave him a small smile

I spent the day in Derek's room we talked getting to know each other and I found out he's Alfonso's younger brother

I didn't ask why half of him was completely burnt I know it's a sensitive topic so I didn't ask I can tell he loves his family very much he once had a wife, but she filed for a divorce once she found out that he wouldn't be of much use and his physical features are completely ruined that's awful he has no children and that won't ever happen it's so sad all I wanted to do was hug him but everyone has their boundaries and I respect that.

"Where have you been?" Zathrian asked as I entered his room

"I was with Derek," I told him

His eyes darkened, and I could tell his mood changed he stormed out leaving me confused what did I do?

So I found out there's another brother he's the one who I told to bring me home away from Zathrian that day when I first met Derek and the same day Zathrian almost killed me, his name is Jayson and he's out of the country on business, and he'll be back today I've heard.

"Is everything all right with you?" I ask him he's barely said anything to me since he stormed out of the room angrily earlier today

He turned and looked at me "Get dressed we're going out" he walked away

I rolled my eyes and got up I was so excited I got dressed in a mini dress and heels

"Where are we going, am I too dressy?" I ask him as I entered the car,

"Yes but you have no time to change we're already late," he said where the hell are we going I'm not even dressed appropriately.

I sighed, soon enough we got to a bridal shop
