Assalamu'alaikum and heya there to my beautiful readers!!!

Please enjoy this book as much as how I enjoyed it while writing. :)

I got out of the car and deliberately froze in my position. Aoothoobillah. That's it, I have made up my mind I definitely do not want to go to school. I'd rather do homeschool! There were so many boys walking here and there.

Perhaps if I kept my distance and not give attention, everything would be alright. I gulped a large lump in my throat and stepped back into the car casually. Uhh, never mind about it being alright. It seems to me to be strictly off zone.

"Ummi, this school is just not suitable for me. I am not studying in a co-ed school, can I please, please just do homeschooling? It might not be much trouble if I do it," I half whispered and shouted while sitting back in the car.

"Ainul, come on, please." Ummi replied pleadingly, "Ummi and Abi have tried our hardest for you to become accepted at this school. Please just listen and don't worry, just go! Just focus on studying and make new friends on the way. This is the only school in the area that isn't three hours away or more. So go now and I'll pick you up at four." My mother continues, tilting her head from the driver's seat.

"But Ummi! I don't want to... What if, what if-" I couldn't finish my sentence as we both heard the most loudest bell rang and it was so loud that it still rang in my head.

"Ainul! Go! You'll be late!"

I had no choice, but to go.

"Fine, Assalamualaikum Ummi." I sighed and walked as slow as I could to the entrance of the new school. I wish we hadn't moved houses and just stayed in our nice, friendly home town where my friends were all at. It had a lot of Muslims as well which made me feel comfortable and free.

But here, in our new house, everything is just the complete opposite. But I couldn't really complain, my father had to do it for his job and I suppose it's good to get out of my comfort zone once in a while, right?

I walked through the front entrance as my foot was half in and out, straight away I wished to turn back. But I didn't, cause of course I wouldn't want Ummi to feel bad, so I continued walking through the hallway, looking for the school's office, or a sign indicating the office's whereabouts.

After what felt like hours, but minutes, I turned a corner and found the front office and waited for one of the ladies at the desk. While waiting I observed the school. It was clean and large with many windows on both sides. The walls were milk coated throughout the halls, and the floors were a calm cream blue.

"Oh, hiya love. What can I be of help?" A plump lady with thick glasses addressed me as she smiled flashing her teeth.

"Uhm, hello, I'm a new student and-"

"Oohhh! A new student! Right! Right, Ok I know how to help you. You need your timetable right?" She happily interrupted and clapped her hands with glee. "And a new one wearing an, uhm, what daya call 'em love?" she said while circling her head.

"Oh. A hijab."

Finally we were done with everything. "Just go straight and in the first corner, turn right and you'll find your class." She directed.

"Thanks for the help," I replied with a smile. She also told me to hurry since I was already ten minutes late to first lesson. I found the room and out of politeness, I knocked gently on the door. But knocked again as I realized that the first one was too quiet and no one could even hear it cause of the ruckus inside.

"Get the door someone! I need to finish this paragraph!" I think that was the teacher.

The whole class groaned and after around five minutes someone said,"I'll get it." I stood back patiently and waited for the person to open the door. My legs were beginning to ache from all the waiting.

I counted another minute and was beginning to get slightly annoyed so I peeked into the keyhole to see if the person who was coming was actually coming. But I quickly jolted back after hearing the door knob rattling.

My eyes widened when I saw who was in front of me.
