We finally escaped that crazy hospital. I watched as Nea slowly, opened the door. We all looked inside and saw the glass was still on the floor from where Chase dropped it. What happened to Nea's family? Nea had the same suspicion I did.

"Mom?" She asked as she stepped fully into the house.

"I'm in here, Nea!" Her mom shouted.

"Mom!" Nea called as she opened the door, we heard her voice come from. We heard her mom's voice again and turned a doorknob to a different room. Nothing. We then opened every door in the house... but we never found her.

"I must be hallucinating," I said my voice shaking.

"Same here..." Callie said.

"Can't find your mom?" A familiar, yet unfamiliar voice asked.

We all screamed and backed up against the wall. I outstretched my arm. My new weapon.

Another stranger looking for us.

This day just gets better and better...

"What have you done with my family? Who are you? Where are you?" Nea shouted as the rest of us looked around trying to figure out where the voice was coming from.

"Over here." A figure came out of the shadows.

It was... our homeroom teacher?

"Hello, girls," Ms. Harriet greeted.

"Ms. Harriet? What are you... why are you... what—" Nea said stumbling over her own words.

"What have I done with your parents? Is that what you were going to ask?" Ms. Harriet asked. Nea's jaw dropped and she nodded. "I assure you they are safe in that room..." She said as she pointed to Chase's room.

"We just checked that room." Nea spat back.

"Trust me... they're in there."

Callie blinked ending up in front of our teacher. Callie tried punching her in the face, but Ms. Harriet blocked perfectly and kicked Callie to the wall.

"Nice move, Callie... they won't see that coming..." She said mostly to herself.

Was this woman crazy? Or maybe she was an assassin... hmm... I am starting to think everyone is an assassin these days...

Nea ran over to Chase's room, the door still open. She found Chase and her mom asleep in the middle of the floor

Nea's jaw dropped. How did we not see them? But one thing was missing... there was no sign of her father, "Where is he?"She yelled at the figure. "Because I didn't run into a fire for nothing."

Ms. Harriet smirked. "He's not here."

Nea turned into a snake and slithered over to the teacher her tail rattling. "That wasn't the answer to my question." Nea said.

"I know." The teacher replied.

"Then tell me... where is he?" Nea yelled, still in the form of a snake.

"I will tell you where he is, Namolia... but only if you come with me."

Nea turned back into a human, "What did you just call me?"

"Calpernia, care to explain?" Ms. Harriet asked turning to Callie. "No? How about you Synthia? Or Sapphira? No... I guess not... Rihanna? Anyone care to explain?"

What was the lady talking about?

We all looked at each other with blank faces, baffled. Ms. Harriet smirked. She gestured for us to walk, so we followed. She led us down a familiar path... memories coming back from the fire and pain. "Look girls... Your life is about to change."

"You should've told us that hours ago." I mumbled as I continued walking.

"Yeah, you're a little late..." Callie whispered.

"Sorry, to ruin your great reveal." Nea spat.

We all followed her as she walked us to the broken, collapsed science lab. She then stared at it and smiled. "Well then, welcome to your new life... Your crazy twist of fate."
