The guards took Balthazar and Dergis to the leader shortly after they left the inn. They get to the throne room and look upon a familiar face. The man Dergis had known his whole life. Dergis's brother, Aldonis. Next to him was another man whispering to Aldonis, a servant by the looks of it, named Guntar.

"Brother! Help us!"

"Why should I help you? You come home thinking you have authority over me? I will not tolerate your lack of honor! Kneel before your master!"

Balthazar and Dergis both kneel and look up to Aldonis. They still try and reason with him but he wasn't budging.

"Master, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Balthazar, heir to Ormshire Castle and son of King Farrowleaf. I ask this one favor of you to let me and your brother stay one night at the inn and we will leave before dawn."

"King Farrowleaf? I really didn't know your father, but I do know who killed him."

"Please tell me everything. I must know!"

"I was in a war alongside your father. The time the orcs had roamed all directions in huge numbers. The Great Battle of General Azol! Your father came to me, since I was old enough to help them with very skillful magic for help, I helped your father win the war on the borders between the two islands at sea. We had a very long seven day battle, driving us all out of our senses, starving and quenching of thirst. I had nothing and your father payed a price for it! He sent my army under false orders by me as I was fighting! So I shot a lightning bolt at him and finished him, also winning the war by myself. He tried to kill my men!"

"Brother? Tell me that's not true!" Dergis added.

"It's true! I was the victor of the battle. I, alone at war, took the crucible at the altar, after the battle inside their great temple, and destroyed the Orc plans after I read them. I even made peace with them afterwards. Then I sold the Kings head to Firin. He paid a great price for it and now sits in the throne above his head in Ormshire Castle on a spike."

"You would betray your own people?"

"They never cared for me, even you! That's not why you are here though. I am letting you take your wishes and allowing you to leave, one night at the inn and you both must be gone by dawn. Balthazar, remember my face! I would hate to kill you in the next war!"

"You can count on it!"

The guards escorted Balthazar and Dergis back to inn instructing them rules of the city and leave them to peace. Balthazar and Dergis then think of plans where to go but no ideas were at mind so they both lay down and fall asleep, for the long journey that awaits them.
