The Origin!

In a certain science lab in Japan.
A certain child changed genders.
He was a boy when he entered the machine.
The machine did one of two things.
Hurl the child into the past or create a magic link.
Either way, the machine changed his gender.
The child when hurled into the past became Over Powered when coming forward through time while living in the moment.
This is not that story.
This is the Origin story of Kururugi Kaname.
This is the alternate version that opened up a magic link.

A young man at about high school age climbs into a machine created by Sora Sensei.
Sora Sensei is teaching Science class.

While Sora Sensei is teaching a class there is a flash of light and sparks fly as a young woman of about high school age climbs out.

She is taken aside by the Physics Teacher and told to imagine the outcome that she or he desires. Esper abilities include the ability to freely control the energy of any and all elements just by concentrating. Freely reforming the body just by concentrating and thinking about the result. A byproduct of able to change the body is able to change from male to female and back again.

After about a week of Concentration Class, he can create clothes over the body and transform already existing clothes into other clothes. For example, his male body is wearing certain clothes that a male would wear, but he wants to turn into his female form, he can change the male outfit into a female outfit. Also, he can set what clothes he wants and save it as a set. So then he just loads the saved outfit by thinking about it.

Magic ability is able to use an element at the result of what he thinks about.
Say he wants to create a fireball using the laws of combustion. He can then imagine the forming of the flame, as he imagines the oxygen combusting.
He can use magic without incantation.

He can use Magic and Esper abilities at the same time because they complement each other.

The child's name is Alex Magnie as a boy.
He has short blond hair and blue eyes.
He is about 5 feet and 5 inches tall.
He is of average weight.
The child chose a completely different name for his female form.
Her name is Kururugi Kaname.
She has short blond hair and blue eyes.
She is about 5 feet tall.
She is of light weight.

None of these parameters matter in the long run.
I am just giving you an idea of the basics of each form is as she can freely control and change her form at will.

Kururugi Kaname when called by that name is notably female.
Alex Magnie when called by that name is notably male.

The date is now July 10th.
Inside Kashima Ward, Tokyo, Japan.
A 15-year-old person who identifies as male most of the time exits Tokyo, Japan from Kashima Ward. He opens his mail.
There is one from Tokiwadai, Academy City.
[Dear Kururugi Kaname or Alex Magnie.
It has come to our attention that you possess Esper abilities and other stuff.
We can test you at our facilities here at Tokiwadai and if you have enough ability, we'll allow you to go to our prestigious school regardless of the gender of your body.
If it's cool with you, we ask you to use mostly Kururugi while you're a student at Tokiwadai.

That's what the email said.
[Dear Tokiwadai.
I Accept being tested as long as you don't ever give me drugs.
I accept my female identity as my main identity as long as I can freely roam the campus and the whole of Academy City.

This is my story.
I wrote the above reply and emailed it to Tokiwadai.
[Dear Aleister Crowley.
I am coming to Academy City.
I want your protection because I can nullify a nullifier.
My abilities are limited only by my imagination.
I do not accept drugs being used for any of your tests in Academy City.
That means that I wish to be exempt from the testing of Esper abilities using drugs as a catalyst for Magic Power.

Waited for a second, and got a reply from Aleister Crowley.

Your ID now doubles as an Academy City ID.

That is what Aleister's email said.
I grinned.
I was in.
I pulled out my Identification Card and looked at it.
My name Kururugi Kaname.
My other Identification Card.
My name Alex Magnie.
Both of the cards are essentially the same except that one is for boys and the other for girls.
