A Week With Infinite [Infinite Fanfic]

Part 10 - The Concert

HwaYi POV

I walked a few blocks and arrived at my destination. The security guard at the door was turning some fans away when I arrived. He looked at me and said "I'm sorry Miss, but as I just told them, we are not allowing people to line up now. Please come back tomorrow."

I pulled out the Staff Pass that the coordi Unnies gave me on the first day. They said to hold onto it in case the guys wanted to go to the venue. "I just came to check out something" I said showing him my badge.

"I'm sorry...... I didn't realize you worked..... We've been turning fans away all day..... " he nervously tried to apologize.

"It's okay. I understand" I smiled in reply. "May I?" I gestured behind him.

"Of course!" he moved out of the way to let me pass. "If you need anything, just let us know."

"Thank you!"

It was eerie being in the empty theater. There were a few other staff members checking equipment, but aside from that, it was bare.

As I was staring at the stage from the floor, a familiar voice shocked me from my thoughts. "What brings you here so late?"

I turned around and was surprised. "Sunggyu!" It took me a moment to regain my composure and reply "I just wanted to see the venue before it is packed with fans."

"Really?" he asked unsure if he should believe me. "Then why does it look like you are trying to run away?" he asked as he pointed to my bag.

I looked down at my bag and gripped the strap tighter. "I was going to leave this here for after the concert." I could tell he was confused, so I tried to explain better. "I plan on leaving after the concert tomorrow."

"Oh" he nodded. "You sure you don't want to stay for the last night? Even if I asked you to stay?"

I sighed a bit "As much as I would love that, it's already going to be hard enough to leave. I think it would be best if I just quietly disappeared."

"You're not even going to say goodbye?" he was shocked.

I looked down "I'm not good with goodbyes."

Suddenly, I felt him hold me and I began to sob. He just stood there holding me, not saying a word.

When we finally separated, he sighed "The guys are going to be upset when they find out you left."

"I'm sorry" I frowned.

Suddenly he started laughing. "Don't worry HwaYi. I won't tell them until after you leave. I can understand why you have to do this. I may not agree with your decision, but I'll help you any way I can. Even if it means I have to lie to the other guys for you."

I looked up at him in shock "Sunggyu!"

"We should get back to the hotel. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow."

"Right!" I quickly looked for a safe place to put my bag and then we walked back to the hotel.

As we got to my room he asked "If Hoya asked you to stay, would you?" My eyes widened at the question, then suddenly he started laughing. "Just kidding!"

I playfully hit his arm and laughed "Yah! Don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry, but you seemed so serious. It's good to see you smile. Good night HwaYi" he said as he hugged me.

"Good night Sunggyu" I hugged him back.

I went to bed, but my thoughts were on Sunggyu's last question. Would I stay if Hoya asked me to? "No Sunggyu, I wouldn't. If he had asked me to stay, I would be leaving tonight."

The next morning was a blur. The guys were busy running around getting dressed for their appearances. Once we were all dressed, we filed out to the van waiting to drive us to our destinations. They had a couple of interviews early in the day and by the afternoon, we were relaxing backstage at the concert.

A couple of the guys decided to get a little rest, but Hoya stayed by my side. "You can rest too, you know" I said.

"I'd feel bad if I did that. We are supposed to be spending time with you" he replied. Then he pulled me closer to him and held me in his arms. "Besides, I'd rest better with you next to me." He leaned closer to me and rested his head in the crook of my neck.

I closed my eyes and tried to hold back my emotions. I can't waver now.

After they all had rested a bit, their manager came in with the CEO. "Looks like the place is going to be packed" the CEO smiled at us all. "You guys should get ready."

With that said, I knew it was time for me to go. I stood up and smiled at the guys "Have a great concert guys! Bye!"

"Bye HwaYi!" all the guys chorused, but I could see that Sunggyu was sad. He knew that this would be the last time we saw each other.

"See you after the concert!" Hoya smiled, which broke my heart. I just smiled, walked out of the dressing room and made my way towards my seat.

Hoya POV

The concert seemed to go well. All the fans were screaming and cheering. I could even see HwaYi smiling and enjoying herself too from time to time.

"Hey Hoya!" Woohyun called out to me between sets.

"What's up?"

"You mind if I give these to HwaYi?"

I was a bit shocked. He held the flower and ring he gives out for his solo performance. "You're going to give it to her?"

"Only if you are okay with it. I know you like her, so I don't want you to be upset. I just thought it would be a nice way to end our week with her."

End? I forgot that the week was over. "Sure! I'm sure she will love it!" I smiled and he ran out to give his performance.

How could I have forgotten that the week was already over? Woohyun saying the word 'end' echoed in my mind. Then I pictured HwaYi as she said 'goodbye' to us earlier. Was this really the end? I tried to shake the thought from my mind. We still had a concert to finish. I couldn't get distracted now. I had to focus or I would make a mistake and one of us could get hurt.

The concert slowly came to an end and we all collapsed in the dressing room.

"Great job guys!" the CEO shouted and we all breathlessly bowed to him.

As we all collapsed back into our spots, Sungjong said "I hope HwaYi enjoyed the concert."

"Me too!" all the guys chimed in.

"Let's ask her what she liked best when she gets here" Sungyeol suggested.

We were all laughing and joking while waiting for her, but she didn't come. Where is she?

HwaYi POV

The guys gave an amazing performance. I'm glad I got to see them perform live. Woohyun even came out into the audience and gave me a rose and ring. The girls around me were so jealous, but were happy as well because they got to see him up close.

The concert ended and people slowly filed out of the venue. I made my way to where I had hid my bag and grabbed it. Then I looked at the stage once more before saying "Goodbye Infinite. Thank you for everything."

I turned on my heels, walked out the door and grabbed the first taxi I could see.

Looking forward to their Second World Tour. Hopefully they will be coming back so that I can see them again (^_~)
