Kenma pov.

Kenma woke up in the middle of the night, the picture still laying on his chest with his arms softly wrapped around it. He wondered how he didn't move in his sleep at all, it was weird and felt unnatural for him as he always moved a lot in his sleep. Maybe it had something to do with the picture? Nah that would be stupid...

Kenma didn't know what the reason was that he woke up, maybe a bad dream that he couldn't remember? Or maybe it was just too cold? Longer he thought about it the more he actually felt the cold embracing his body. Yeah it definitely was cold. It was very cold.

He immediately buried himself under the blankets groaning, but it didn't help much. Kenma looked around the room to find the reason of the low temperature, and finally glanced over at the window. It was open, he forgot to close it yesterday. Dammit... it was pretty warm yesterday so he thought it was a good idea to open the window for fresh air to come in but eventually forgot to close it. Kenma sighed standing up to close the window with one of the blankets wrapped around him like some sort of coat or even a dress. Instead of closing it he got hypnotised by the view. Kenma didn't like going outside but it didn't stop him from liking the view of the night-life city. Well it wasn't really a "view", it was just a street. But it looked so majestic in the night with all the lights covering the street, some of it mirroring onto the trees and plants which made it even nicer.

Kenma sighed deeply until finally closing the window. He actually kind of forgot about the cold for a little bit, not for long though. But it soon enough started getting warmer. There was no way that he would be getting back to sleep now... what should he do? Kenma actually was pretty hungry now, he didn't really eat anything yesterday while looking for that photo frame. But even if he wanted to make a whole delicious meal, he wouldn't be able to. He wasn't a good cook like Kuroo, Kuroo's meals were always heavenly delicious. Although Kenma didn't show it, he really liked when Kuroo cooked for him. Well he cooked everyday for him so for some people it might've not been that special anymore, but for Kenma it was. He would eat every meal that Kuroo had made for them... he actually really would like to eat a big dish of Teriyaki right now... well he did have all the right ingredients for it so maybe if he looked the recipe up on internet...

Kenma was standing in the kitchen now, every ingredient was on the kitchen counter as a company to his phone with the recipe on it. He started combining the first ingredients, cooking them at the same time. He mixed cornstarch with a bit of cold water and added it to the pan. This was supposed to be the sauce, that's what the recipe told him at least. Kenma started stirring the "sauce", he was supposed to do that until it became thick. After a short while he thought it was done. This really was easier than he expected. Kenma then cooked rice and chicken, slicing it into smaller pieces. He tried to do it as professional as he could. After the boy finally sliced all of the chicken, he put it on a big dish along with the rice and finished it with pouring the sauce on top of it.

Kenma was proud of himself, the dish looked... maybe not the best but it looked like food so that was good. He quickly put all the things that had to be washed afterwards in the sink. After he'd done that Kenma sat down at the table with his self-made Teriyaki. He was sceptical at first. After a short wait he took his fork with some chicken and sauce on it into his mouth. It didn't completely taste like the one Kuroo always made but he could totally accept that. Kenma was super proud of himself, almost as proud as that one time he managed to finish Subnautica within two hours on his stream.

When Kuroo comes back, i'll have to cook this for him. I bet he'll be fucking surprised. Kenma started fantasising about how Kuroo would react. In his mind it looked something liked this:

- Kenma this is the most delicious thing i've ever eaten in my life, you're such a wonderful cook! -

A small smile appeared on Kenma's face while thinking about it. It would be nice to see Kuroo eating something he made without being afraid of a stomach poisoning afterwards.

Kenma finally finished eating, he stood up and quickly washed the dishes. When he was done he decided it would be nice to do something different in his stream today. Well it was just 5 a.m. right now so the stream would probably just start earlier today. He would be playing the new Subnautica - Below Zero. Yeah that was a good idea, he loved that game. It was gonna be a nice day.
