I slam the door shut and pause.

He's here. Of course he's fucking here.

I walk down the empty hallway, the sound of my heels clicking onto the floor helping me calm down.

I'm sure he's going to be in at least one of my classes, seeing as the universe hates me. I haven't even finished my first day at this fucking school and there's already someone I'm going to ignore for the rest of the year.

Fuck, I need a smoke.

I take out my phone and scroll through Twitter. I leisurely make my way back to my classroom, retweeting some funny stuff and I see a text notification from Analyn, so I open the app.

Text from bunny: where are u? did u get lost??

Text to bunny: I'm fine, I'm just taking my time. Tell him that I got lost on the way but that I have the book.

Text from bunny: okay!

I turn to the left and knock on the door before entering. Mrs Teague stops writing on the board and turns to me turns to the door.

"I got it." I tell her with a forced smile.

"Wonderful. You can take your seat and catch up with your peers, I'm sure Analyn will explain to you what we've done in the meantime." She beams enthusiastically.

I slide through the small paths to get to my seat by the window. I sit down with a sigh, opening my textbook to the sma epage as Analyn's. She smiles at me, but her face quickly takes ona frown when she doesn't see me smile back.

"What happened?" she whispers to me

"Remember the asshole from the basketball court last Friday?" I start quietly with a huff. Analyn nods. "Well, I jjst saw him. In that other teacher's class."

"What? He goes here?" she whisper-yells, turning her chair more towards me to hear better, "I had no idea,"

"Relax, bunny, I know you would've told me if you knew,"

"What—"

"Girls..." Mrs Teague scolds, in that teacher's tone that secretly means 'stop talking'.

"Sorry, she was just explaining what you wrote on the board when I wasn't here," I

"Mhmm," she hums, not really believing my lie, but goes back to finish writing her sentence. She puts her chalk away and sits down at her desk. "Please think quietly about the question on the board, I will be asking a few of you for your answers."

"What does he look like? I only saw his back that day," Analyn aks softly, carefully taking a glance at Mrs Teague.

"He's..." I trail off, my thoughts going back to the day in the park, and his sculpted abs that were showcased. And then to about half an hour ago, when we saw each other again in the classroom, the way his sharp square jaw clenched and his striking sea green eyes filled up with shock and annoyance.
