Chapter Eight, Talks with Sirius and George

It was a week after Sirius found Aurora pacing in her bedroom that he was finally able to pin her in the same room as George to talk without her scarpering out of there. He didn't know what had happened between the pair but he was determined to find out. He couldn't bare to see his daughter so upset and stressed, so one Saturday he'd gotten Charlie to cover the store for the afternoon and Remus and Dora had taken Teddy to Andromeda's so it was just him, Aurora and George and no one was leaving until it was sorted.

"Right, I don't know what has happened between you two but it ends now." Sirius snapped looking between his daughter and George. "It's not good for you or Amaya to be so upset and stressed as much as you are. I don't want to lose you Pup and I know it would devastate you if you lost Amaya but you will if you keep this up. I'm not trying to upset you Rory that's the last thing I want to do. But I can't stand to see you like this. Talk to my pup?" Sirius asked sitting in his seat between the two sofas that Aurora and George were sat on.

"Rory whatever I've done to upset and stress you out like this I'm so, so sorry. Please just talk to me you're my best friend, my sister I can't lose you too." George begged looking at Rory who was barely holding it together before she suddenly burst into tears sobbing into her hands that she used to cover her face. "Rory." Sirius said rushing over to his daughter pulling her into his arms rubbing her back in the hopes of calming her down. After a few minutes it seemed to work as she had calmed down enough to speak but tears still poured down her cheeks. "I'm sorry Georgie so sorry. I didn't mean for you to think you'd done something it's me." Rory cried confusing the two men.

"Rory I don't understand. Talk to us. Tell us what's the matter?" George asked desperately.
"You'll hate me. I don't want you to hate me I can't lose you too Georgie and I can't lose you daddy I don't want you to hate me." Rory cried.
"Rory sweetheart." Sirius cooed, running his fingers through her hair. "Nothing you do or say would ever or could ever make me hate you. Nothing Pup you're my daughter and that means I love you unconditionally." Sirius soothed.

"You're dad's right Rory." George tried to reassure her. "Nothing you do could make me hate you and nothing you say could either just please tell us what's got you so upset. We can help. Please Rory, you know I've always been there for you and that's not about to change."
It was silent for a few minutes as it seemed Aurora was absorbing what they had told her and was gathering her strength and courage to tell them what had been bothering her so much that she had been reduced to this. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to hate me and I didn't mean to....it....it just happened." Aurora sighed rubbing her face.

"I.....I think I have started to get feelings for Charlie." Aurora rushed out, starring down at her hands in her lap not daring to look at her best friend or her dad. "I didn't mean to. And I didn't mean for it to be Charlie it just happened. I still love Fred so, so much I don't think I will love anyone as much as I love him but I have started to feel something for Charlie. I'm so sorry Georgie please don't hate me. Please." Aurora begged finally looking up at her best friend her emerald eyes dull and lifeless as she starred at him tears pouring down her cheeks.

"This is why you've been avoiding me." George realised with a small sigh. "Rory of course I don't hate you and no one could ever blame you, no one means for these things to happen they just do. And no one can deny how much you and Fred loved each other it was so bloody obvious everyone realised it before you two did." George laughed.
"Sounds like James and Lily." Sirius laughed. "Puppy there is no reason to get this upset about it. There's nothing to get upset over sweetheart you've just been overthinking all of this and I'm sure you're hormones haven't helped either have they?" Sirius asked pulling his daughter closer to him.

"But Molly and Ginny..." Aurora started.
"No Rory." George said firmly. "Mum and Ginny are wrong and they have no right to treat you this way and if things happen between you and Charlie and they say something you tell me and I'll prank them." George said darkly. "If I didn't Fred would haunt me for the rest of my life. You're not dishonouring Fred or whatever else you were thinking he'd want you to be happy and Charlie has loved you for ages but he knows how much you love Fred and if you do start seeing him he would take it at your pace and your pace only." George assured pulling Rory into a hug.

"Thanks Georgie." Aurora whispered into his chest hugging him back just as tightly. "Anytime Rory you know I love you." George said kissing the top of her head. They both let out a startled laugh when Amaya suddenly kicked George. "Oh I'm sorry my little niece I love you too." George said kissing his hand and pressing it to her stomach. Aurora let out a yawn as she sat back down next to her dad drinking the tea Kreacher had brought them now that she had calmed down, though he had added a calming draft to her tea as well just to make sure.

"Why don't you go and have a lay down after you finish your tea Rory and have a sleep?" Sirius suggested. "It's been an emotional few weeks for you. You must be exhausted and Remus and I will have a little chat with Charlie later."
"Dad!" Aurora complained rolling her eyes at her dad.
"No Rory it's a father's job to check these things out. Don't worry we won't do anything just chat. Now, I want you to go upstairs to bed young lady no arguments and I want you to sleep."

"Okay dad." Aurora said through another yawn the emotional turmoil she had been in recently catching up to her. "Night dad love you. Night George love you." Aurora said as they bid each other goodnight as she made her way upstairs for a nap. Once they were sure she wasn't within earshot George smirked at Sirius. "Shall I head back to the shop and send Charlie over then?" He asked smirking.
"I think that is a great idea George let me contact Remus first." Sirius said with an equal smirk on his face.

" Sirius said with an equal smirk on his face
