(Aurora's outfit for her first date above).
Chapter Ten, First Date
Aurora woke up feeling rather excited a few days later on Saturday. She was going on a date with Charlie today, their first date. After speaking with Dora they had decided to go to the cinema to watch Mary Queen of Scots as Aurora was really interested in the British history but also because she has never been to the cinema before and neither had Charlie so it was perfect place to go. They were also going to a restaurant for dinner afterwards. The night before Dora had helped her pick out a cute but casual outfit out of all the new clothes they had brought. Dora had decided on a red and maroon checked woolly dress, skin coloured tights, black ankle boots and her dark grey winter coat. They were going to leave her raven coloured hair in its natural waves down her back and light makeup with lipgloss.
Stretching as she climbed out of bed Aurora quickly made her way into the bathroom showering and washing her hair, once she was finished she quickly dried herself off wrapping her hair in a towel and changed into the outfit she was going to wear and doing her makeup. She quickly brushed her teeth and dried and brushed her hair before she made her way into the kitchen for some breakfast they were going to see the movie around two in the afternoon, as Charlie was helping George in the shop until twelve. "Good morning Bambi you look beautiful." Sirius greeted as she entered the kitchen doing her morning ritual as she kissed and hugged all of them.
"Morning." She greeted as she sat down eating her usual breakfast. "Thanks dad."
"Are you excited to go on your first date with Charlie?" Dora asked, her hair changing colours rapidly due to her excitement. Aurora paused as she thought about it for a moment.
"I'm excited but I'm also kinda nervous." Aurora admitted.
"It'll be fine." Dora reassured. "You'll both have an amazing time just you wait." She insisted smiling happily at her niece glad she and her best friend will finally be happy. The morning went past rather quickly as Aurora spent time with her family relaxing with them as she played with Teddy laughing as he tried to crawl but ended up doing a weird sort of wiggle. Soon one o'clock came around and Charlie flooed back home quickly going up to his room to shower and change into some jeans, trainers and a smart blue shirt his jacket over his arm, and his long hair in a neat ponytail as he came back downstairs. "You look beautiful Rory." Charlie smiled as he held a bouquet of her favourite flowers out to her, Lilies, a shy smile on his face as the tips of his ears turned red slightly.
"Thank you Charlie they're beautiful." Aurora smiled as she smelled the flowers. "And you don't look too bad yourself." Aurora teased with a small laugh. When her flowers were suddenly snatched out of her hands by Dora. "Right, I'll put them in water for you, off you go and have fun." Dora smiled shooing them to the door as they put their coats on and bundled up against the cold late autumn wind. "Bye." They both shouted over their shoulders laughing as they were practically shoved out of their own home by Dora. "Well, someone's excited." Charlie laughed as they stood on the doorstep of the now disappearing house. Aurora nodded laughing as they made their way down the steps onto the street. "She's been like that all day." Aurora laughed.
"I don't doubt it." Charlie agreed thinking back on how his best friend was in school shaking his head with a laugh. "Shall we get going then?" Charlie asked holding his hand out for Aurora to take. Aurora blushed smiling as slipped her small hand into Charlie's larger callous hand as they made their way to Shaftesbury Avenue to the cinema hurrying slightly to get out of the cold bitter wind.
Once they entered the warm cinema they sighed in relief as the warm air rushed over them finally glad to get out of the cold. After buying their tickets, a medium sized sweet popcorn and large Diet Coke to share they found their seats and settled in to watch the movie. As they exited the cinema a few hours later they were laughing and joking with each other perfectly at ease as they talked about the movie they just watched and anything inbetween as they made their way to the Italian restaurant Dora had booked for them under Charlie's name. Upon entering the cute Italian restaurant Charlie gave his name to the matere'd who led them to a candle lit table in the corner next to one of the windows and handed them some menus. "A waiter will be with you in a moment." He said before he took his leave. Charlie like a gentleman pulled out Aurora's chair and helped get out of her coat placing it over the back of her chair and pushing her in before he took his own seat. "Thank you Charlie I've really had a nice time." Aurora said happily. Charlie's smile if possible got even brighter at that as he took Aurora's hand that was on the table into his own.
"So have I Rory thank you." Charlie told her with a large smile on his face. He was about to ask her something when the waiter came over and took their orders both of them having spaghetti and meatballs with a side of garlic bread to share, Aurora having some water and Charlie having a Diet Coke once again as he had enjoyed the drink in the cinema. When the waiter walked away Aurora smiled at him. "What was you going to ask me?" She asked curiously.
"I was going to ask if you wanted to go on a second date with me?" Charlie asked somewhat nervously still holding her hand in his. Aurora smiled at him she hadn't really expected to feel as happy as she did, and she was pleasantly surprised as she thought she would've felt guilty. "I'd love to Charlie." Aurora replied happily.Charlie beamed back at her as they ate their delicious meal and continued their conversation as they fully took the time to get to know one another properly obviously keeping their talk mundane as they were surrounded by Muggles. What they didn't know was that they had been spotted sitting at the table by the window enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner as they talked and ate all the while with their hands still held in full sight of the person outside she smirked as she came up with a perfect way for this to come out and snapped a picture of the pair as Charlie leaned in and kissed her forehead. People were finally going to learn the truth about the Chosen One. She smirked victoriously as she popped away to get started at once. Setting things in motion as the world around Charlie and Aurora fell apart around them.
