she's sick

Tired after a long day, you closed the door behind you. You leaned against it and let your shoulders fall, the stress of your day now behind you now that you're home with Taylor.

But a sound coming from the couch startled you. You looked over and saw Taylor lying there, looking absolutely miserable. You went straight to her and knelt in front of her on the floor. "Taylor? Are you okay?" You pressed your hand to her forehead and felt that she had a fever. "Oh, honey. Are you not feeling good?"

She shook her head. "I feel really sick." You brushed a lock of her hair behind her ear. "My throat feels all scratchy, my nose is stuffed up, my chest hurts when I cough, and I'm really cold."

"That's because you have a fever, my love. Just stay here. I'm gonna go grab you a few things to help make you feel better." You kissed her forehead softly before getting up and rushing upstairs to grab her a few things.

You got her some medicine and another blanket since she was so cold. You also grabbed her a glass of cold water for her to take the medicine and hopefully help soothe her throat a little, too.

"Here, Taylor. Take these." You placed the pills in her hand and held the cup of water for her since she seemed too weak to hold it herself. "I got you another blanket too." You tucked her in, making sure she was as warm as possible.

"What else do you need? Some soup?"

"Later." She said, voice hoarse as she spoke. "Right now I just want you. Can you please cuddle with me?"

You cracked a smile and then planted a long, lingering kiss to her forehead. "Of course I can." You carefully climbed behind her, allowing for her back to press against your chest. You slung your arm over her stomach and pressed a few kisses to the warm skin of her neck.

"Why didn't you call me and tell me you weren't feeling well? I could've come home to take care fo you much sooner."

"I knew you had a busy day. I didn't wanna interfere with that." She mumbled and you could tell she was drifting off to sleep. "I don't care. You're my girlfriend and if you're sick then you're my first priority. Just try to get some sleep, baby. I'll be here with you the whole time."

You heard her let out a sigh and then a cough. You rubbed her back soothingly as she let out a small whimper but got herself comfortable again and started to fall asleep. It was good to see her getting some rest. You know she needs it.

"Love you, baby. I hope you feel better soon." You whispered and kissed her neck once more before you fell asleep beside her, hoping that she'd feel better soon.
